Central heater wires melting at disconnect. can someone please help?

Over heated wires can be due to high current or from a loose connection. If from high current, then the entire wire will melt along the whole length. If the melting is only near the disconnect, then the connections at the disconnect are suspect, or the contacts within the disconnect are bad.

The gas line to the heater was disconnected? Or the Pilot and Pilot Tubing were disconnected?

Im trying to replace the oil pump on a beckett burner i took out the 2 bolts holding the pump to the burner but the pump wont budge. the line is disconnected and it is stuck in place.

1. Disconnect fuel lines, remove two fuel pump screws.
2. Remove motor and coupler by taking out 2 bolts. Remove motor wires, if needed, to place motor on the side as you are working on the pump
3. Clean pump mount from inside burner with a rag. Spray WD40 to loosen any accumulated rust or dirt and clean again.
4. Using a flat nail punch and a hammer gently knock the pump evenly on the mount to push it out from inside the burner. Repeat it, if needed.

Rudd achiever 90 plus. does not ignight with top cover on...without cover it works fine

Most likely a venting issue, does this have 1 pipe or 2 pipes? if it has 2 you can try it with the inlet pipe disconnected to see if there is a restriction somewhere in the pipe. It may also be in the exhaust pipe, although you don't need to run it with this pipe disconnected because you can vent the flue gases into the home. How old is this system? Has it worked fine prior to this issue?

The heat never cuts off. already changed the battery but it just keeps running. do i need a new thermostat?

Try disconnecting the W wire and see if the heat continues to run. If your unit has electric heaters, and the heat continues with the W or W2 wire disconnected from the stat, it may very likely be stuck heating relay/sequencer.
If the heat does shut off after disconnecting this wire, then the problem has something to do with the thermostat. Replacing the battery was a smart. You can also check to see if your thermostat has a reset button or a fuse.

Furnace does not shut off ... temp set at 68 degrees and its up to 80 degrees ... had to shut furnace by main switch ... is it the termostat

Easiest way to find out is to disconnect the thermostat or at least the red wire on the thermostat. If it stops, it's the thermostat. If it continues, you will need to disconnect the wire going to the R terminal on the control board. If it stops, it's a crossed thermostat wire. If it continues, its a problem with the control board or relay and you will need a technician.

Replacing a hot surface igniter on a Coleman

Yes, you will need to turn off your gas supply, disconnect some wires on the gas valve and disassemble the union to the gas valve. Be very gentle when reassembling because the ignitor is brittle.

Disconnect assembly has overheated and needs replacement. where can I find a new puul-out disconnect assembly for my intertherm furnace model FEH-015HA-03

Those parts are readily available. You can get them at or google and have your model and serial number ready. You are talking about the pullout at the bottom left of the unit correct. If you have a breaker within six feet of the pullout you can remove it. But be very careful and turn off all power before you try.Rus
