Question about Torker Tri Star Rear Basket White Bicycle

Can't find a Torker tri-star 3 wheeler to try out

I am faced with ordering a 3 speed trike sight unseen. I love all the photos of the Torker Tristar three wheeler but I can't locate anyone where I live who has the bike in their shop. I have found a dealership who will order it for me for $440. Is there anything I should be aware of before ordering this bike? I see almost no reviews of the bike on the web. I have only ridden the Miami Sun and Desota Classic & Trailmate bikesBoth rode okay but they appear cheaply put together.

In my experience there are very few adult tricycles that are not cheaply made under $1,000.00 . Keep searching on the net. Try and find one with a parts list, and what kind of tubing is used in the frame build. Good Chromoly tubing is recommended. Go to, and educate yourself on the cycling industry. Libraries often have back issues of cycling magazines.

The distance, current speed, maximum speed, average speed and odometer are not correct on my rides. The wheel calibration is set correctly, as is the installation with the distance between the sensor

It sounds like your computer reset itself. This may be due to a sticky button, as most computers are installed at the same place where folks have their aero bottles. Some of the nice sticky glucose liquid runs onto the computer face when you drink, gumming up the buttons. Try wiping your computer face with a hot damp (not dripping wet) rag. If this is the problem, the hot water should remove the sticky stuff on your buttons and allow your computer to work properly.

Syncing with Sigma BC1009

Had this same problem and nothing worked after trying everything I could think of. Speedometer would never display a blinking 0 (just stagnant). Turned out the computer mount on the handle bar was turned around backwards. The sigma letters go towards the front of the bike. Placed the device in the mount, the 0 started blinking and sync'd up with sensor. Finally works!

My Mom's adult-trike's? brakes squeak

If the pads are weathered they might be hard and this may lead to squeaking Pads are inexpensive and relatively easy to change just get some new ones. Also make sure the rims are not dusty dirt and grit might sometimes cause squeaks. Good luck!

In every gear if I hesitate pedaling when I resume there's free play for a quarter turn or so and then it will resume normally. This happens repeatedly whenever I 'coast' even for  moment

Your free wheel assembly has play and simply needs to be reassembled. It is not an expensive fix if you wish to take it to a repair shop, or if you are mechanically inclined, you might wish to disassemble the rear wheel drum assembly, which includes the freewheel assembly and the gear spindle.

If however you do not feel confident in this procedure, you might opt to have a repair shop handle it. It is possible they may find a worn part in the freewheel assembly, but as stated before, most parts in the assembly are inexpensive.

Hope this helps. Thank you for using FixYa.
