SOURCE: Network Printer Problem

In the later HP LaserJet printers the printer has a "Mopier mode" that will provide better print performance on multiple copies. However, if you have "Mopier mode" enabled and you don't have an EIO hard disk installed, you'll get the above message.

Right click on the printer, select "Properties". There should be a "Device Settings" tab. Under that tab, make sure that "Mopier mode" is Disabled at the bottom.

The unit will still print multiple collated copies with that disabled.

If you scanner error 5 or printer hangs at scanner bulb warming up than the issue is with Scanning Assembly inside the printer and it is hardware issue.

You can reseat the fuser or you will have to replace the fuser. Please note the these machines the fuser is located in the middle of the machine. Most likley it's a bad fuser.

Hp CM6040 MFP fuser error

You have a bad fuser, contact a local service provider for a new one. On average the price of a fuser is usually close to the price of a new printer, you may have to invest on a new one.

I have hp colour laserjet cm6040f mfp, that displays error 50.A fuser error. pls your help is so much important

You will need to order a fuser and replace it or call a service tech who can. The problem is that the electronics on the fuser have actually burned out, so that is why the whole fuser needs to be replaced.

The hp colour laserjet cm6040mfp is displaying error 50.0 fuser error. pls i need ur assistance on it.

> FUSER ERROR

The FUSER is the part of any dry-ink laser-printer. It heats up, and melts the dry-ink onto the paper.

So, an ERROR indicates that the fuser is NOT reaching its "working" temperature.

Replace the FUSER, or take the printer to a qualified technician for remediation.

50.A FUSER ERROR

The "FUSER" unit uses heat to melt the dry toner-ink into the paper, to permanently lock the ink into place.

So, a "FUSER ERROR" means that it is not heating-up to the required temperate.

Contact your local HP office, and get them to dispatch a service technician to come to your office to make repairs.

Error 50 will be a faulty fuser unit or DC controller board. Try replacing the fuser unit.

HPLaserjet4P - printer service 50 -

Hi,

A 50 Service error is a fuser error. Turn the printer off for 5 to 10 minutes, then turn it back on. If the error is still there, I think your going to need to make a service call you can try reseating the fuser, but be sure to let the fuser cool completely before touching it.
Good Luck the HP Laserjet 4p is a great printer.
