Question about Panasonic DMR-EX75EB-S DVD Recorder/HDD Recorder
Bought the unit second hand from e-bay, worked fine for 6 months.
I used a hack remote to make the unit region free. This worked fine.
The unit was left in HDD mode for a few days, not sure if its the hard drive. I am getting an error code DVD 3 displaying on the unit when I press any button on the remote.
I am thinking of changing the hard drive myself, just wondering if the hard drive should be formatted to FAT 32 or if anyone has seen this issue and may know of a solution before I do this.
Many thanks for reading this post
Pan use a version of Linux on the recorder. If you change the hard drive there is a format command in setup to format a new hard drive. Put a DVD in and try selecting and playing both DVD and HHD via the front panel buttons. Sometimes you can get error codes on a unit when the batteries in the remote are low. Try changing them Sometimes the remotes are faulty and not communicating properly. A fix in some cases is to press the number button corresponding to the number shown on the display together with the enter or OK button for at least 2 seconds. Good luck

Your problem is that your remote changed 'channels' on you. Read the manual on how to change the remote code. Panasonic lets you use up to three units in the same area without the other remotes interfering by selecting one of three channels to run each unit. You just need to get your remote and unit back on the same channel. I don't know how that happens but I had one do that a year ago myself but since I run a number of them in one room I knew what had happened.

Press and hold the number 3 and ok on the Panasonic remote control for 10 seconds. Your remote should now be coded to work with your machine. You have changed the remote code some how.
