Malwarebytes is indeed a reputable company. The Malwarebytes product is outstanding and free (https://www.malwarebytes.org/). The paid offering provides automatic checking for / downloading of the latest malware definition files to help stop malware before it can get to your computer. They offer a $25 subscription that will provide coverage for up to 3 PCs for 1 year. They may have other offers too. I have a subscription and have been very pleased with the product. Keep in mind that malware is NOT the same as malware. To be protected, you need to have anti-malware software AND antivirus software installed. Microsoft has FREE anti-virus software that automatically updates. You can read all about it and download it here:
This is the name of a common ScareWare virus.
Boot in safe mode with networking. By repeatedly pressing F8 as the pc is booting. (if you see the windows logo try again)
One in safe mode download and install spybot.
Run a scan and you should be good.
IE8, while possesing powerful malware protection, cannot defeat everything. So here's a shot in the dark. Please remember, you haven't told us your computer brand or model or your operating system. So you leave me no choice but to call your gig out as a virus.
Go to another computer and download Malwarebytes Free and save it on a USB Flash Drive. Start your computer with the problem by hitting the start button and IMMEDIATELY pressing F8 as quickly and often as is posibble.
Using your arrow keys when the selection window appears, start in Safe Mode
When your desktop is loaded in ridiculously huge ICOns you've succeeded.
Connect the flash drive.
Install Run it
Eliminate the viruses
PLease do NOT leave me 2 thumbs up. Either 3 or 4 or nothing. I don't need to get trashed for free help with improper info.
If you need further assistance with this, repost and tell us your Computer name, model, Operating System.
Hello, if this happened after installing Norton software into the system whell most likely the application is preventing MS Outlook to run or to be executed. U can try to disable the default feature of the Norton 360 which blocks the default email that you are using and that should fix the proble.
The problem is your lack of RAM. Anti virus programmes are often quite heavy & are running all the time. Windows updates & service packs eventually start to consume more of resources & any other programmes you have running are using RAM. Add an extra 1GB or as much as you can. RAM is cheap & easy to install.
