Question about Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z2 Digital Camera
I would like to take apart the camera to re-install a new battery compartment door but it would be easier using a how to service manual. Any links on where to find one would be great. Sony does not have one and they bought out Minolta in 2006.
Right, this is the info that you need. To remove and replace the battery door you need to follow 15 steps in the correct order, they are:
Remove the two screws (above lens) that hold on the flash cover.
Remove the flash cover
Remove the three screws on the view finder cover
Remove the view finder cover
Remove the two screws on the side of the battery compartment
Remove the two screws in the middle of the base of the camera
Remove the sliding cover on the left hand side of the lens
Remove the single screw on the left hand (curved) part of the camera case
Remove the single screw on the bottom left hand side of the casing
Remove the trim piece on the right of the camera next to the lens, the top has a sticky pad under it so will be difficult to lift up.
Remove the screw behind the trim plate
Remove the back casing
The flap should now be replaceable, if you do not feel comfortable with this then get a professional shop to do it.
