We dont use the software which came with our cameras, we use picasa 3. Just connect camera to PC photos appear and then just click import to picasa. Then save pictures under "MY Pictures" under PC drive. Another thing to try when using camera software is to ensure that you are not connected to broadband at the time of downloading.

Why can't I download my photos? I have had no problem in the past. I had a virus which was removed, and since then a few things have not worked. Its windows XP

If you can view the photos on your camera, and they are stored on a removable device (such as a Sandisk), then you should be able to load the removable device into a computer and copy the photos using Explorer. If this does not work with Windows XP, it could be due to the fact that Windows XP is no longer supported with upgrades. I would try to upload the photos to a computer running a current version of Windows (scan the removable device for malware before uploading to the computer). If that works, it's time to upgrade your computer. (I upgraded my XP computer to a Linux OS.)

Can't download photos from Panasonic Lumix ZS30 camera to pc with Windows XP Media Center edition

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa:

Someone was looking through my photos on playback mode on my panasonic DMC-FX100. Then gave it back and now it says "no valid picture to play". not sure if they multi deleted everything. No photos are...

It's no problem at all to get them back. Please see this post for several free software that you can download. You'll need to use a card reader with these programs though:

All the download links listed in the article are through CNET, primarily to verify that these are malware free software, and to give you a chance to read user reviews on the software before downloading.

Yes, the Panasonic software will play your videos. So will the free version of Quicktime (it might already be on your computer). Try opening the video and double-clicking on it...it might play with no further action from you.

If I am loading a licensed copy of 2007 office/home/school and have an unlicensed copy of 2003 will this need to be uninstalled and will I lose my files

You need to uninstall the unlicensed copy of you Office 2003. It will not affect your files but your files are not readable until you did not install a Office. After you uninstalled the unlicensed install a new copy of your license Office 2003. If you have problem about your license key you can contact or call microsoft for more details.

Panasonic Lumix Simple Viewer & Photofun Studio Viewer software

If you google your camera model, you will find a location to download software for this camera. The Panasonic Support site is a good starting place..

Kodak has a free photo viewing an touchup software downloadable so you will use their printing service. Another is Picaso by Adobe. Both of these are easier and better than those supplied with camersa. Even Microsoft XP or Vista computer come with a good viewer. Go to Start/Programs/Microsoft Viewer(or some such).

Have you tried Picasa? Free from Google. Does your PC see it as a drive? Are there proprietary drivers for the camera? Try using a USB hub instead of the USB ports on the PC.
