When I open IE7, rather than going to the homepage I have set in Internet Options, the following web address comes up (every time):
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=74005
What's up?
Thanks.
Http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=74005 is a default home page for IE.
So when you change your Home page on Internet Option Home page are you sure you have type correct address (e.g. http://www.google.com/) and press OK.

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Make sure you've closed all open tabs, then open Internet Explorer for the desktop.
Click Tools, and or click Internet options.
Under the General tab, enter the web address of your new home page, and then click Apply.

Address for home page is correctly typed. So frustrated I have retyped it many times, just to be sure.
Thanks.
