Question about Navigon 7100 GPS Navigator GPS Receiver
I see older forums for this MN6.exe fatal application error but nothing recent. I have had my Navigon 7100 for only 2 weeks and just got this error today. The unit will turn back on but only to the point of the Navigon main screen coming up. Any suggestions before i just return it, i paid good $$ for it and don't need it happening when I don';t know where i am. thank you
I have same problem I went to their website. www.navigon.com/site/us/en/my_navigon. In there you register your device and also in freshmaps put your Freshmaps code to activate.once activate download updated software from the windows of maps and software in Navigon 3 windows.You will find picture of your device hit on that picture to downlaod software update in your computer to save to your desktop.It will take atleast 45 to 1 hour depend on speed don't turn off cmputer in between.
Than get 4 gb sd card put to slot to your computer either directly or through Card reader whichever it suits you .when card is in computer wait till it shows removable media inserted.
Than hit on icon on your computer desktop where you downlaoded software update, mesasage box will appear to download to sd card hit yes it will download entire software wait till it says downlaod complete.
After download complete go back to same website and hit on window says software updates hit on that and it will downlaod most updataed version of software to sd card.
After completion of downlaod completion romove sd card be carefull to check on that says eject sd card hit on that than remove the card after otherwise it will destroy the pogram in sd card.
Put your sd card to device and there you go it will work.
Since new software is large and it requires more space than old one ols card will not work even after download of new software.Please buy 4 gb sd new card and follow the procedure.Since new software consumes almost 2 gb I recommend to purchase 4 gb sd card .please don't buy micro sd card with adapter it won't work.

I had the same problem with my unit.
Did you try to reload ALL the files back to the memory card?
This as a slow process,but it seems to go a little faster if you use a card reader.
Format card using FAT option,not FAT32.
