Question about Panasonic PV-GS500 Camcorder

Device driver for PV-GS500

I am unable to import from GS-500 to adobe premiere elements, final cut express or imovie to my imac. Ihave o.s 10.6.8. Is there a driver I should download? If, so where do I find it?

SOURCE: panasonic pv gs 180 can't import into imovie

Hi, I managed to down load mine by connecting with a firewire and setting the camera to playback mode (not PC), opening imovie, turning the camcorder on and selecting file -' import from camera". a screen came up then I started playback on the camcorder and was able to select import from the screen on the imac.

Obviously, fcp cant support your video files recorded by your camcorder. U need to convert these AVCHD formats to mp4 first.

One friend of mine is using Final Cut Express to edit your film footage and the final film will be uploaded to your website for viewing. He need to get the videos to FLV format for easily web viewing. Unfortunately, FCE doesn't export to FLV. Do you have this problem with my friends?
