First make sure that you are in a 28-30 inch vacuum. then if you are your oil inject solenoid is clogged up. when you take the covers off there is a small block with 5 solenoids in the back of the machine ( not the big 2 layer block) the solenoid sticking out form the other 4 is the oil inject try taking it apart and cleaning it. Also if inspect the rubber on the plunger on the solenoid if it is sticking past the metal it is swollen and the solenoid should be replaced.

2003 pontiac grand prix over-heating. New water pump, new thermostat, radiators been flushed! Still losing water; cant see where. temp gauge says its hot, but if u turn, it goes back down! Help!

You could be losing coolant through the head gasket into your motor oil. Remove your oil cap. See if moisture and white gunk is on the oil cap. If there is, then the head gasket is defective.

My buick sky lark wont stay started when i try and start it it starts but shuts off right away i put new fuel pump new computer and everything else cant figure out the problem

Is the fuel pump relay working ?
Are you loosing spark or fuel pressure ?
The engine computer must see oil pressure or RPM to keep the pump relay on.

98 honda civic new oil pump cant get enough pressure

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you may have damaged the crankshaft. If you did not gauge the crank journal where the rod was, the journal may be worn enough for the bearing to be loose and letting oil pressure escape there.
Or there could be metal particles in the engine and now in the oil pump screen which would block oil from entering the pump.

Assuming that the sensors are all correct ( and I think they are since you can hear the effects of oil starvation)., you appear to have a problem with oil flow or pressure, maybe both. The knocking you hear is not a good thing - this is your engine saying it is hurting. You need to verify your oil pressure with a mechanical oil pressure gauge. I suspect you will find that at idle it is virtually nil, and probably not much better at speed. There are two probable causes of this, neither is easy or cheap to repair. The first is the the sump pipe has come loose from the oil pump, causing the pump to lose prime and **** air. The other problem is the oil pump itself may be worn out. Both of these are located in the oil pan and require a fair bit of effort to get to.

Auto oiler doesn't work
you may need a new pump
check out there parts break down will help u find out what u need
you may not need a new oil pump you may just have blockage
clean the **** out of the parts behind the bar and clean the clutch good
the bar has the grooves the chain runs in and need to clean real good at the back where it bolts on and you will see a hole, thats where the oil goes into the bar so the chain can pick it up.
every 3 to 5 tanks of gas. or whenever you sharpen the chain you must clean the oil holes.
you may also have a pluged cap
the oil cap has a vent to let air in
if air cant get in oil cant get out. clean and inspect all the parts and you should find out if the oil pump is bad
you may just be as simple as needing cleaned
but with out oil you may have burned the pump, bar, chain , and clutch out of it.
hope this help
good luck

92 voyager oil pump replacement.

Remove the engine front cover then drain the engine oil and take out the oil pan. It is under the engine and looks like the bottom of the motor.
Unscrew the oil pump mounting bolts with a wrench and proceed to remove the oil pump itself by pulling it down and out of the engine. Avoid getting any contaminants into the oil pump assembly while removing.
Add fresh oil to the new pump to prime it. Check the alignment on the new oil pump drive with the crankshaft/intermediate crankshaft timing.
  • Step 2 Install the new pump carefully, rotating it back and forth a little to make sure it has full surface contact between the pump and the engine block.
  • Step 3 Hold the pump in its sealed position and put in the pump mounting bolts, tightening them to 15 ft-lb.
  • Step 4 Put the engine oil pan back in and refill the crankcase. Start the engine and check for leaks on the parts you replaced

Well the cam bearings will have to do with this also,if it has them,if not it can be the wear in the cam carriers. But most likely the crankshaft journals are worn to much, the crank would need turning, and over size rod,and main bearings would need to be installed.
