did you perform a scan axis calibration after changing all these parts? If not then you should do that before doing anything else.

Z6100 PRINT IMAGE TOO RED

1. Run the Diagnostic Print. Verify the health of the printheads, and replace as necessary.

2. Run a printhead alignment.

3. Run a Color Calibration on the media you will be using for final output. If your media does not support color calibration, you may need to upgrade your media to one that is supported, to be able to manage your colors, or use en external spectrophotometer.

4. Please report your results for further troubleshooting.

I consistently get a "Paper Skewed" message on

It's just a practice with every plotter that i've worked on.The guide lines are absolutely inacurate. For every individial z6100 may be different but in mine the the right side of the paper must be about 3mm inside from the tip of the guide arrows(the paper must cover 3mm of the arrows).

You should make the rotation before you rip your file.

(1) "HP z6100 Banding / Print Lock Up / Length Issues"
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Symptoms:
Customers using HP DesignJet z6100 with firmware version 6 and the ONYX v 7.1 HP Driver may experience banding, printer locking, and printing length issues.

Cause:
The problem is caused by the varware data written to the HP z6100 hard drive.

Workaround:
If you experience any of the issues listed above, please contact HP Tech Support. They may need to do a Disk Wipe and should only be done under the guidance of a licensed HP Technician.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
(2) "I'm experiencing inconsistent print lengths. Why?"
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

This issue is not RIP related. Check below for workarounds with various printers.

For HPs
On your HP's printer menu, set "Extended Margins". This should resolve the inconsistent print length.

For Encads
Onyx users who have Encads have recommended the following:
* Configure the X axis in the setup menu.
* Be sure to save your settings as "User 1" (without saving the settings, they disappear when you power down the printer).
* If produced in-house, add bleed to the image.
* If produced by someone else, print the image at 101% to bump up the finished size.
* Static and slippage can cause the issue.
* Canvas media almost always shrinks about 1/4 inch per 4 feet due to moisture and weave of the media.
* Talk to Encad -- they have a worksheet that explains how to best reduce the problem.

For all others
Most major inkjet printer manufacturers say that .5" on an 86" print falls within what they deem "acceptable". If your printer has Media Feed Calibration or some other feed mechanism calibration, be sure to do it... and frequently.

I want to block drop detector in hp plotter 1050c plus

If you are running the Drop Detector Test then all you have to do is open the Window and insert a thin piece of paper inside the Drop Detector in order to block it.

If you want to disable the Drop detector altogether than you can simply unplug the drop detector. This will result in a system error 0C0030 Bad Drop Detector.

WARNING Switch off the printer and remove the power cord.

1. Remove the Printhead Cleaners (Refer to the User Guide).

2. Remove the following
  1. Right Hand Cover
  2. Service Station Assembly
3. Disconnect the Drop Detector cable from the Service Station Cable.

4. Remove the screw (item 1) that attaches the Drop Detector
Assembly (item 2) to the Service Station (item 3).

5. Remove the Drop Detector from the Service Station

Error code 070020

From the service manual:

070020

One of the Drop Detection errors has occured - or, during the Drop Detection no drop was detected.

Pen checking is set to OFF.

Corrective actions:

1. Perform the drop detect calibration
2. Troubleshoot the cartridges and the drop detector
3. If required, replace the service station
4. Check the cable assembly and the main PCA.

If you are inclined, I can upload the service manual for you which tells you how to enter the service mode and perform the drop detect calibration. Warning: If this is done incorrectly, it could render your machine useless so if you are not inclined to do so, hire a professional to do it. Otherwise let me know and I will upload the manual for you.

Error 0c0030 00000088

That error indicates that the drop detector is not working. If a Print Quality test shows that the pens are working and nothing is blocking the inside of the drop detector, perform the Service Station calibration. If the error doesn't clear, then replace the detector assembly.
