My scanner has no sound, like i muted it but don't know how i did this, or has the scanner gone bad?

Is it stopping on active channels according to the display? You may have the squelch set too high - you want it barely above where the 'hiss' disappears. Also, make sure that you don't have "PL" tone (CTCSS) activated, as only a matching tone to stop on a channel. Make sure that you didn't hit an attenuation "ATT" that reduces the signal. Last but not least, try it with an earphone. Try all these items and let me know. Good luck.

Uniden bcd396xt scanning but no sound coming from scanner

BCD386XT No sound. If it is actually stopping on an active broadcast and if you have the volume turned up (press down on volume button and release, then rotate to adjust) then the most likely cause is a failed speaker. Try a set of headphones in the jack on top by the antenna, if you have sound there it is most certainly a bad speaker. It is a very tiny speaker that is as thin as a nickel, many have been broken by a simple jar or by being played too loud by the hearing impaired. It is not hard to change but basic soldering skills are required. the speaker is available from uniden parts.

Why is my scanner is reading no freeze frame

this sounds like you have a problem with the scanner.make sure you have activated the freeze frame(snap shot)key to take the freeze frame shot.the scanner only shows what the ecm is showing it.the other thing to check is make sure the batteries in the scanner are in good working order as some scanners this can affect them.

Scanner not picking up local police-Fire freq

Do you still receive NOAA weather frequencies? Sounds like your local agencies have switched from simplex/standard frequency operation to trunking. I suggest you visit www.RadioReference.com to view the latest on active frequencies and systems in your area.

How to program it

Oddly, the BC350C does not have a direct-entry (keyboard) programming function. Frequencies can only be entered into the "PRIVATE" bank by transferring them from the SCAN or SEARCH functions. This sounds confusing, but the programming steps are detailed in the scanner operating manual, which you can download/print here:

Symbol scanner LS2208

Hello Roco,
you need the Intelli Stand to activate this function. The scanner can recognize it and activates the Hands-free mode himself. Until you reoved it from the IntelliStand again.

CanoScan N1220U Scanner properly installed but not workin

This doesn't do "one button" scans, but I just downloaded "VueScan" for my 10.5.4 Intel Mac and the demo is working great with my Canoscan N1220U.
