First check that you are getting a spark, if not check lead and ignitor. If getting a spark make sure that there are no leaks, to do a gas leakage test see Patio heater problem solving. Next check the tilt switch if fitted, just short it out by joining up the two leads. If OK look for any debris/insects around the pilot and clean. A worn thermocouple will turn the gas off, these can last anywhere for 2 years up to 6 years but will at some point need replacing.

It's a burner control problem. It maybe a defect on some protective devices (pressure switch, fire detector, etc.), a blown fuse, or a board defect (busted DC supply transformer, relays, or electronic devices).

Sounds like your fan switch is defectiveor posibble installed in the wrong place. This switch is heat controlled and delays the fan coming on until there is warm air to blow.
