Hi, the way you properly reset that deck is this. Get the removal tools, slide them in to release the deck. Once its out look in the back corner of the deck for a fuse. R -R the fuse you should hear it cycle, thats it.

Treadmill will not come on

1) reset the c.breaker from your home or blown fuse and repair
2) test the power cord for open or break with DVOM OR VOM very important
3) reset the treadmill with the switch
4) open the treadmill and see the fuse blown and repair or c.breaker and reset.
5) LUBE the deck belt , this happen because the lack of maintenance produce enough friction between deck vs deck belt.
6) lube the rollers bearing too.
7) test the input voltage motor, if there are the motor need repair.
8) measure the output voltage board, for input voltage motor, if there are NOT the board is faulty. see the block diagram.
God bless you

I have the kenwood 348u and when i pulled the deck out a speaker wir touched the deck it went into protect mode now it doesnt have any sound and says waiting

try pressing the reset switch if it has one. The reset switch should be a small pencil tip sized indentation on the face. It will not be marked. If you have no reset switch, you can try disconnecting power from the deck for a few minutes.

Try checking your speakers and speaker wires for shorts and/or grounds if you can. If they all check out good, try resetting your deck. The reset switch should be a small indentation about the size of a pencil tip on the face of the deck. If all that doesn't work, you may have a bad output ic inside of the deck.

Cassette Tape stuck

The problem here is that the unit is stuck in a partial position. The "reset" by unplugging and plugging back in usually causes the unit to reset to a known position. If there is no activity (no motor sound), it will need to be opened up and reset manually. If you hear the motor running for a short period, it is attempting to reset, but the belt is most likely worn or broken. These units are relatively simple, but a bit tricky to dis-assemble. This repair should not require anything other than a belt or 2. Figure on $3-$10 for parts plus the local labor rate for the repair.
