Question about Pride Go-Go Ultra X 3-Wheel Travel Scooter

1 Answer

There is no power

I was given this scooter thinking it only needed a charger and new batteries. (I can not afford to buy a scooter) I bought new batteries and there is still not any power. The meter does not move or anything. I have checked the fuses that I know of, in with batteries and inside where the key goes. I have continuity from the key to the positive post. The scooter has hardly been used. It still has the rubber tips on the tires. The person that gave it to me said it ran until he thought the batteries died. Have any ideas? I would greatly appreciate it if you did. Thanks

The biggest help was using the jumpers. I found a bad conection where the batteries set on the post. I think it was front lack of use. I have running now. Thank you so much with the help.

Seems like you are on the right track and you can save alot of money there. I would aproach this systematically trace the power to the switch then t0o the speed controller and back to moter you can also put some jumpers from a battery to the moter connections.
If it is in such new condition then it must be a damaged or loose connection.

I have a infinity four and when plug in to the mains it charges but when unplugged it dies the lights all come on but no power what do you think it's the battery ?

Most likely. You can try this before you buy new batteries. Take them both out of the scooter and use an automotive style battery charger to charge them individually. This may take several days for each battery. Reinstall the batteries and try your regular charger to finish the charging. If none of this works, then the batteries are too far gone

We just bought a used scooter. it uses two batterys. one battery was missing, need too buy new ones how do they get hooked up?

You need two matching batteries and unless you are satisfied that your existing battery is retaining a satisfactory charge you should by two new batteries that are compatible both with your scooter and with the charger. New chargers are not expensive however, a faulty or inappropriate charger may well damage expensive batteries.

The charger light should normally be red if the battery is accepting a charge and green when the charger goes into trickle charge or off. SLA batteries do not last well if they are not regularly given a top up charge. I suspect the battery needs replacing.
If you have access to a voltmeter then you can test the battery voltage at the charger input port on the scooter.
There are lots of places that sell Razor E100 scooter parts and provide resources/information on replacing the battery.
Here are a few:

Good luck!

I need to find a stackable battery box for my scooter, as well as what batteries are needed. Also, what charger should be used with it? I bought used from a private party-no charger and the small battery...

James your scooter use 2 12-12ah batteries located inside the battery case. Just remove the screws holding the case together and remove the old batteries then replace with the new ones making sure that you repace the wiring just as you removed them from the old batteries you might also have a heat sensor attached to one of the batteries make sure you reattach that to the new batteries. Any off board charger made for power chairs or scooters will work but try to find a 4 amp charger with an on/off switch. Always turn the charger off when plugging or unplugging from the scooter Check on e-bay or with a provider for a charger Hope this helps

Check the owner's manual for the location of the reset switch. It is usually located under the rear engine cover/shroud. Contact the maunfacturer's tech support line for troubleshooting assistance over the phone.
Has the scooter been stored for a while? If so, your batteries need to be replaced. The batteries contain a gel that needs to have current run through it on a regular basis (at least 8 hours once a week) or it will solidify. If you attach the charger, what will most likely happen is the green light will either stay green or go to green after a very short time. The charger will indicate the batteries are full, but instead of being full of pwer, they are full of crud. Your insurance may still cover the replacement if you can wait for the process to go through. Otherwise, you will need to replace the batteries on your own. Good luck!

I needto replace the battery charger on my Rascal 600F scooter

Hi. Most chargers with only two wires, have a small bridge wire from the
black ( negative ) wire to the middle terminal of the connector. This disables the controller while the machine is charging. The charger will still work without this bridge wire, but the scooter will still operate normally.
There are a few different chargers around that have an internal relay that disables the scooter, but these chargers are normally "on-board" chargers.
Good luck. Neil.

The battery connections are normally positive 24, Negative 24 & inhibit which is normally grounded, for some scooters the charger connections go to the batteries plus the controller but that does not mean it been zapped, hopefully there is a fuse (Car type ?) under where the seat seat stem is , a simple test is to turn it on, does the horn work ? does it appear to power up ?

Some scooters have a fuse in the tiller panel or control panel as it otherwise known so check it out and hopefull it will work.
