Hotpoint not drying clothes

Check the vent hose and the vent in the house for dryer lint. Excessive amounts will block airflow and the dryer senses that and shuts off the heat to prevent a fire.

Hotpoint tcem80c 6p not drying very quickly

Long Dry times tend to be caused by improper exhaust venting
normal ventng should be 8 to 10 feet long max should be flexible aluminum or solid metal venting if length is longer than 10 ft solid metal venting is a must ! White Vinyl is absolutley NOT advised ! ! make sure venting is as short as possble with no kinks or crushed areas and also you have good air flow out of dryer exhast outlet before connecting venting after connecting make sure you have good air flow at outside of home.........good luck !

My hotpoint dryer takes hours and hours to dry clothes?

clean the vents as it is an air restriction, first take off the vent house run dryer and feel for hot air, if no or little hot air then then inside of the dryer needs to be cleaned, now if you run the dryer with the hose off and it drys like it should then the vent hose needs cleaned/unrestricted. Hope this helps Tim

Our frig is not cooling but the freezer works fine, it is a hotpoint side by side fri freezer... it made a humming noise for a while but that has stopped.. any help would be appriciated... what the trouble...

In side by sides if the fridge side not working correctly it means that the air vent from the freezing unit has stuck in the closed position which causes the fridge to not be any where near as cool as it should be and if it is too cold then the vent is stuck in the open position. The vent is controlled by a small sync motor and either the motor has become faulty, the control module is faulty or the vent is iced up, which can be caused by putting too many hot items in the fridge so the steam condenses and freezes the vent in position and then the motor cannot open or close it causing it and / or the control module to become faulty. Other times it is just old age that causes the motor and / or the control module to fail. Best call a service engineer asap.

It most likely means that the air vent from the freezing unit has stuck in the closed position which causes the fridge to not be any where near as cool as it should be and if it is too cold then the vent is stuck in the open position. In stand alone fridges the answer could be that the cooling panel at the rear is dirty and needs thoroughly dusting / cleaning / unblocking and checking that there is enough space around it to cool properly and that it is not near any heat sources such as an oven, air vent, microwave exhaust, etc.. It could also be caused by a problem that has resulted in a loss of the refrigerant gas and will need regassing by a service engineer. Also check that the thermostat is working correctly, turn it up and the fridge compressor motor should kick in, turn it down and the motor should turn off. Also make sure that the fridge is not iced up, or overloaded, so cool air cannot circulate inside it. Best call a service engineer asap.

Hotpoint tdc62p changed thermostats as blowing out cold air,

Make sure that all filters are properly cleaned, and that the air inlet and outlet vents are clear. Make sure water container is empty.
The best way to clean the filter at the bottom is to run cold water through it, this will clear out all the lint.. Make sure you have the correct stats ( there are many for the hotpoint range) and that you have them in the correct position on the heater back plate.
Plz rate this solution.
thanks.
