Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Offhand, to my understanding, the vertical fault is hardware and therefore adjustment in the service menu would not correct it. You might have better results checking the vertical components including the pump capacitor, the IC and the resistors within the area. You might also check the vertical supply voltage coming from the FBT. This of course requires familiarity working with electronic components & circuitry, use of a DVM/VOM and a soldering iron plus safe working practices with live/HV sections.

Pls postback to clarify the missing "tone".

Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.

    shorting the service pins inside the TV unit near the EEPROM;
combinations keys on the remote controls. Pls appropriate codes here, here and/or reference this.

    • Look for a cold solder joint in the vertical drive, as well as in the area around the low voltage power supplies.See if there is a short in that area where there is a fuse to the vertical drive and audio stages that is shared by the two.

    • Check the caps in the power supply providing the low voltage to the audio and video processing IC's, and check the regulators/zeners .

But still have doubt what you mean by missing tone .

Does it mean sound is not working ?

Please post back if you need further help .

There are two ways to enter into service mode.

    • Option 1:
In the TV-set itself is a 3-pin connector
with which either SERVICE-DEFAULT or SERVICE-MODE can be activated. For
the MG3.1E chassis this connector is depicted 0356 (SERVICE-PINS) on
      page K7 (TXT&CONTROL). Shorting pins 1-2 will activate SERVICE-MODE.

Shorting pins 2-3 will activate SERVICE-DEFAULT.

IMPORTANT NOTE: using the service pins will disable any software security feature!!

    • Option 2:

Activate these modes using the remote control.

Option 2 is the preferred method because the settings have to be changed using a remote control anyway....

    To activate SERVICE-DEFAULT:

    • Press 0 6 2 5 9 6 and then the [menu] button.

The message 'Service Default' appears and channel 'SER T' will be
selected. This only sets some settings to a preset value
      (channel/color/brightness/volume and such).

This mode is primarily intended to set things to a predefined state for
servicing. Measurements/adjustments are usually carried out with
service default active. You can exit the service default mode by
placing the TV into standby (not through the mains switch).

    To activate SERVICE-MODE:

    • Press 0 6 2 5 9 6 and then the [i+] button (Note: the [i+] button is also known as [OSD] or [STATUS] button.

      After pressing 0 6 2 5 9 6 the message 'Dealer' should have appeared.

Other codes which seem to work:

    0 1 6 2 5 9 6

    0 3 6 2 5 9 6

    0 4 6 2 5 9 6

    0 7 6 2 5 9 6

    0 8 6 2 5 9 6

These alternative codes have just an additional number after the '0'.
The additional number is any number which was not part of the
    'original' code.

More precisely: the number following the '0' can be repeated multiple times, so

    0 1 1 1 6 2 5 9 6 is also acceptable.

Note: press the numbers not faster (or slower) than you would normally
do if you had to press multiple numbers. Do not worry about the channel
changing while you press the numbers.

How can I adjust the screen so I can see the score of the football game it is cut off on my Panasonic TH-50PX75U

Hello
To do this you have to enter into the service mode, ie, factory setting modes, which oly will allow you to do the screen adjustments. Your TV needs vertical S-Correction, to avoid lower side stretch. Four methods to enter into the service mode are given here . Just try OK.

In Sound-Menu Low-tone-regel to MAX and

High-tone-regel to MIN. Press 'F' button on TV.

Then press VOL- on TV and REVEAL on RC in

some time. Select: red and green buttons.

Adjust: yellow and blue buttons. Store:
'STR'. Exit: 'N' on RC.

In Sound-Menu Low-tone-regel to MAX and

High-tone-regel to MIN. Press VOL- on TV

and RESET on RC in some time. Select: red

and green buttons. Adjust: yellow and blue
buttons. Store: 'STORE'. Exit: switch off.

ON: Press simultaneously 'OFF TIMER' on RC

and 'CH.UP' local.

OFF: Press simultaneously 'OFF TIMER' on RC
and 'VOL-' local.

Simultaneously press 'RECALL' on RC and
'VOL-' local. Exit: 'NORMAL' on RC.

After entering into this mode, be careful not to spoil the set. Mark all the initial values on a paper for refernce, and begin to chage the values. You may only have to chage the value of "SC".

Zenith tv picture is larger than screen

Hello
There are Horizontal and Vertical size controls behind the back cover that need to be adjusted using a hand held tool. This adjustment requires a trained tech. High Voltage from the set is dangerous.
However, there maybe some limited controls that may help through the on screen menu.
To get into the setup menu, you need the original Remote that came with the TV.
Hold the Menu Key down until a box appears in the corner of the screen, then press 9,8,7,6 Enter. this takes you to the service menu. Just scroll through the items to find Horiz Size and Vert Size.
Good luck
