Hi there,

try this..

just select the list using your mouse or similar mechanism
as if you were going to copy-and-paste them,
then select "Table" from the Word toolbar,
then select "Sort",
then click "OK"

done...

Book indexing systems likely require such capabilities. That subject is in the realm of Nancy C. Mulvany (writer of 2005's Indexing Books); but good luck on getting a reply from such lofty heights.

How do I arrange a list of names in excell in alphabetical order?

Select the data range that you want to sort alphabetically.
Ensure that the active cell is in the column with the names you want to sort.
Hit the Sort Tool on the toolbar (its the one with an A, a Z and a down arrow on it - it's probably next to a Funnel)
Your data should now be sorted.

I canno find my contacts on windows live hotmail

In the top left hand corner there should be drop down list Click on the people tab all contacts are there
or
Live email contacts
Windows Live Hotmail lists all contacts alphabetically, to a maximum of 25 on a page.
When all the contact fields are filled out, the contact is sorted alphabetically by first name.
If a first name is not entered for a contact, it is arranged alphabetically by last name.
If neither a first or last name is entered, then it is arranged alphabetically by email address.
To find Hotmail contacts on Windows Live Hotmail, use the search field.
Log into Windows Live Hotmail using your username and password.
Click "Contacts" on the left side of the page.

Type all or part of the first name, last name, or username of the person you are looking for in the text field marked "Search Your Contact List."
Press "Enter," or click the "Search" icon inside the text field.
A list of contacts matching the name you typed will be presented.

Place your mouse over avatar of the contact you are looking for.
A pop-up menu will open.

Click "Send Email" to send an email to that person.
Click "View Details" to see the contact's profile page.

Click "All Contacts" on the top left of the screen to clear the search results.

Most of the time the sucks under the albums file won't be in alphabetical order, usually you have to go under the folder and change the view settings. if you can't do that then manually arrange them if possible. and if that doesn't work, they will stay like that.

I want to arrange pictures in a specific order for a slide show. When I load to Coby from my computer it changes the order. How can I get it to put pictures in the order I want please. My coby model is...

To successfully produce a slide shoe, you need to use a presentation program like Microsoft Powerpoint or any one of the numerous items of software available. With these programs, the order you place the pictures into the slide show is the order in which they will be presented, irrespective of file names and computer sorting, which I think is your problem now. If you want to continue with the system you are now trying, you will have to rename all your slides in alphabetical or numeric order eg. aa.jpg, ab.jpg, ac.jpg or 001.jpg, 002,jpg, 003.jpg. Remember that a computer counts in this fashion 1, 10, 100, 2, 20, 200, 3, 4, 5, 50, 6. and so forth.
