Question about Samsung HCM4215W 42" Rear Projection Television
Attached are the photos of what I am up against with the television. I am thinking convergence module, but want some other opinions before I start pouring money into the unit... let me know what you think... and if anyone knows where parts can be had, that would be great as well.. thanks... jeremy
I had a similar problem with a Samsung 4226W. I ended up having to change the left IC (STK392-040), 4 of the 3.9 ohm resistors (RZ142-145) and the pico fuse (3.5A) near the right IC (STK392-040) I think that is the right numbers for the resistors (the RZ #'s)

Check Convergence IC's for cold solder joint pins. Also check the resistors in front of the IC's, they may have smoked or changed value. Replace IC's if you see burnt or discolored resistors.
