How do you change a rubberboot on a front load whirlpool washing machine?

1. unscrew 2 door screws and the 2 screws opposite to them on the other side (on right if you are facing the washer)
2. take door out by lifting it slightly and then pulling it out.
3. hold front panel from both sides and then push in and twist outward this willl diengage front panel from the hooks on side.
4. tilt front panel towards you about 40 deg. adn pull it up.
5. to take top out, first remove all 4 screws from soap dispenser and take the dispenser out (just pull up after unscrewing)
6. unscrew the electrical unit (where bulb is) in front top by taking out the 2 nuts Note: you must take out left most socket/coupler by pulling it before unscrewing the left nut that will give space for your wrench.
7. In the front corner the Top is bolted to side frame bars you will have to look under top corner and you will see 1 nut on each side, unscrew those nuts and the lift the top ( if you have enough space (about a foot) behind the washer the Top ca n actually go all the way back and rest on wall.)
8. from top view you will see a spring and metal wire system holding your boot, notice the spring position, spring has 2 hooks on each side, with needle nose pliers pull on the spring hook and have someone else disengage wire from spring hook. ( when it is time to put the wire back on the new boot just follow the same thing)
9. once wire is out take the boot out by pulling it from all directions. note: you may still have water in the washer system so before you take the boot out be ready with a bucket to catch it write under the boot plug.
10. your boot is still connected to washer withe the plug at the bottom. with help from needle plier press on clamp and pull plug out. note: if you see water flowing out from drain pipe (where the boot plug goes in try to keep it up to lwer the level of water that will stop the water flowing out (i took help from my 6 year old daughter for this job) now your old boot is out, trash it.:)
11. put the new boot the lip of drum and put the wire back on (again i enlisted my wife and my daughter to keep the wire in place, you cannot do it alone. with 3 of us putting wire was a breeze. put the spring back at the exact same place and with exact orientation.
Note: when you start to put wire and new boot on washer drum lip make sure the tiny cuts/slots on the boot slip into the the notches on washer lip other you will have leak from these spaces.
12.now rest is all easy. attach the drain plug back on and then push the tabs of boot into the frontto secure it.
13. put all the thing that you took out in the same order all the way to door and you are ready to go
NOTE: i did not front panel back on for couple of days to make sure there i no other leak and also to make sue that boot is not leaking.

Upper rack not getting clean

The problem likely is the cutter/chopper filter.
1. Remove bottom basket. Remove top basket (Pop off 'keepers' at the ends of the slidding shelf supports).
2. Remove bottom washing arm. Unscrew (Gently but firmily) centre post. Lift arm assembly out.
3. Remove overhead conduit. One screw at back and one at top (Philips #2 screwdriver bit). Rotate whole assembly 45 deg to the right (Clockwise) and lift off of centre post It can then be taken apart to clean.
4. Remove centre post (Pull straight up) Remove 4 screws (Star T-20 screwdriver bit). Lift whole plastic assembly out. Pop off the screen (Flat blade screwdriver around the edge) and clean.
5. Remove cap over cutter/chopper. There is a single screw at left front (Under the just removed centre assembly). Remove (Star T-15 screwdriver bit) screw and cap (Needs a bit of wiggling to get it free). Remove cutter and filter ( a stainless steel disc with many holes in it). Tt is on a spring loaded pin. Pull the cutter blade foreward and lift the filter straight up. Clean thoroughly. I then ran a 'quick rinse' cycle with everything out, to clean the inside.
6. Reassemble - Good luck! This worked for me.

How to take apart the diswasher to clean it

This is a 5 step process.
1 Remove bottom basket. Remove top basket (Pop off 'keepers' at the ends of the slidding shelf supports).
2. Remove bottom washing arm. Unscrew (Gently but firmly) the centre post. Lift arm assembly out.
3. Remove overhear conduit. There is one screw at the back and one at the top (Philips #2 bit). Rotate the whole assembly 45 deg right (Clockwise) and lift off of the centre post. It can be taken apart to clean.
4.Remove centre post (Pull straight up). Remove 4 screws (Star T-20 bit). Lift the whole plastic assembly out. Pop off the screen (Flat blade screwdriver around the edge) and clean.
5. Remove cap over cutter/chopper. There is a single screw at the front left (Under center assembly just removed). Remove screw (Star T-15 bit) and cap (Needs some wiggling to free it up). Remove cutter & filter. It is on a spring loaded pin. Pull the cutter blade foreward and then the filter disc up. Clean thoroughly. Run a 'quick rinse' cycle with everything out, to clean the inside.
Reassemble.

Canon MP530 print head malfunction

I had the same problem with my printer. There is a switch that tells the printer that the cover is open or closed. Unplug the printer. Open up the printer cover and look on the inside right side edge. About half way back, you'll see a 3/4 inch by 1/2 inch hole where this switch resides. If you put your finger into it, you may be able to push on a lever and it will go down. It should spring back up when you pull your finger out. If you can feel the lever but it just sits at the bottom then there either this lever is broken or the spring fell off.

The problem with my printer was the spring had popped out. To access the switch, you'll need to remove the right side cover. Do this by removing the two screws in the back on the right side. Open the printer cover and find the third screw. It is located on the right hand side, near the front of the printer, on the top. Remove this screw and pop out the cover and see if you can find the spring that is attached to the lever. Make sure you do this in an area that if a small piece fell out you could find it.

Look at the switch and lever. If there is no spring attached to the lever then it is most likely the problem, otherwise the switch may be bad or the electronics inside the printer. There is a hook on the lever and one on the printer. Reconnect the spring and it should fix the problem. I found my spring had completely fallen out and fell on the floor when the cover was opened. It is possible that this spring if fallen out can fall back inside the printer so you may have to shake the printer to find this little spring. It is about 1/2 inch long. Hope this helps.

Rolex 1992 daytona watch

There should be 3 knobs on the right side of your watch. Unscrew the middle knob with the crown on it until it pops out. After it springs out, it will be in winding mode. You want to gently pull it out past this point, it will click into place and you will be able to set the time by turning the knob. After time is set just push the middle knob back in and turn clockwise unitl it is tight.

I hope this has been helpful,

Russell Hobbs Steam Glide 2200 won't produce steam.

I had a problem and tracked it down to the pump. If you take the iron apart, the pump sits towards the front of the iron and has 3 tubes connected to it. Remove the srew-down bracket and free the pump from the plastic clasps on the base. Disconnect tubes and wires (remembering where they go.

Remove the circular securing spring from the front of the pump and drop the metal barrel from the housing. Unscrew the rear plastic assembly and set aside. there is a joint inside where the plastic assembly was - this is has an o-ring and is simply a pull-apart. It deos not need screwing. Pull the metal barrel apart, taking care to note the sequence for reassembly. Inside the barel is a larger rubber washer. Pull on the metal tube that goes through the centre of the washer using a pair of pliers - it will come free.

You will then see the problem - the spring inside the metal barrel will have broken. Take care, because at the other end of the spring is a small plastic washer that must be retained. Find a pen that has a short spring inside and use this as a replacement. If necessary, you can trim the spring to make it the right lenght. Ensure you have removed all broken pieces of spring, and reassemble. Try it out before finally attaching the pump inside the iron. It took me 2-3 attempts to get the spring tension right. If you can find a 'PENAC RB-085B BA1002' pen, the spring is perfect.

Once you have got it right, reassemble.

I have to replace the spring approx every 6 months as the replacement is obviously not meant for the job and wears or rusts or breaks. However, I am getting extended use from my otherwise broken iron.

Take care - things inside get HOT!!

Hope this helps.

I have just had a similar problem. Water no longer moves through the steam wand when I try to prime it. Instead, water shoots through the shot handle (or screen if handle is not in).

One thing I did notice is that the dial for the steam wand unscrewed too far and basically popped out. I screwed it back in and the water did not ever come out of the wand again. I took the top lid plate off and unscrewed the wand dial and removed it. I put it back and noticed that there is a little metal spring switch underneath that I assume turns the wand pump on.

Attached to the dial is a plastic sleeve with a flat side. When the dial is turned, this sleeve should turn the switch on. I noticed though that the sleeve is creeping up the shaft towards the dial head which makes it miss the spring switch.

I don't know what kept the sleeve in place before. Probably a plastic stop that has been worn away from use. There is an allen screw in the sleeve, but tightening it doesn't seem to keep it in place. Perhaps inserting a spring in between the dial and the sleeve would work, but the sleeve cannot be taken off to do this. No other answers right now. My wife is not happy the lattes have dried up.

if a little steel ball also fell out then u need to find it that is the tension for your gears, if nothing fell out then the retainer inside the unit is out of place when you replaced the spring. you might need to have the unit serviced
