My Asus 200e notebook switches itself back on after i have switched it off. I then switch it off again and it goes off. Can anyone advise how to fix this please

Open Control Panel, Power Options, set to High Performance, open change power plan settings or Advanced power settings, set Sleep and Hibernate to Never, Change "what to do when I press the power button", Change All the power settings to your preference. Always unplug your laptop when not in use, remove battery if used on AC a lot. This will extend the life of your machine and the battery and MAY save it from power surges and possible, IF the battery malfunctions , a fire.

Ok power went off but now my emachine wont turn on the switch just lights up for an sec or two, please help

I would suggest that you try and check the system with another power pack,

just to be sure that it is not the power supply that is faulty.

This is because what you have describe here is one of the symptoms of a failing power supply,

and It is not always advisable to take a power supply case lightly,

and when it is detected that its the one that is faulty, Just change the power pack OUTRIGHT!

and please don't think of repairing it.

It is not always expensive though, as compared to if your whole system now starts to develop fault because of it.

Hope this helps you out.

My maytag microwave lost power

There is always a fuse inside a microwave.Sometime this has only blown due to a surge, and upon replacing, the microwave will continue working. If it is something worse the fuse will continue to blow.In this case it could very well be the transformer, but there are other possible causes as well.(for example the control board or a short.)

No power to my dishwasher

A diswasher is normally plugged into a non-switched outlet under the sink. Make certain the power cord hasn't been knocked out ot the outlet.

Most homes today come pre-wired for a garbage disposal, as well. Normally there will be one duplex jack under the sink, one jack "always on", the other controlled by a wall switch above the counter. If you don't have a garbage disposal, make certain the dishwasher is plugged into the "always on" jack.
