You may only have one stick. If more than one ,then they should be together.

Hello there !!

Thank you for choosing Fixya.com

It's not difficult to install memory into your laptop. In fact, it is a fairly straightforward process.Using a screwdriver and a little care you can speed your laptop or notebook up significantly.

You'll require:
  • Compatible Laptop SODIMM memory module/s.
  • Anti-Static Wrist-strap (if available).
  • A Screwdriver suitable for your laptop's memory cover
Here's the tutorial that you can use to change the RAM:

Hp nc4010 will not start fan just twitches any

sounds like you have a blown capacitor on your system board. you could buy a new one from support.hp.com , but it might be cheaper to buy a new laptop than to have someone replace it

Hp nc4010 second battery

Hi,

The second battery would replace the cd/dvd drive in that slot. Obviously you would lose the ability to play cds/dvds..The drive is easy to remove -just push on the button to the right and then pull out the drive. Hope this helps..Michael

If you have opened the case you may have disconnected the mouse ribbon cable. Its a thin white ribbon cable that plugs into a 'slot' on the motherboard.
