Oil, peanut butter, alcohol, or vinegar should do the trick. Just make sure to be gentle so the strands don't break, and to clean it thoroughly afterwards.

My daughter got married yesterday and the hairdresser fixed the headdress with glue. This morning she tried to remove it but to no avail. Can you tell me how she can remove the glue please ? Thank you

short of cutting the hair I would try nail polish remover on the glue as it is basic acetone that will react with the glue. care should be taken with this operation.

My covatec urine bag doesn't stay glued on more than a day. Why?

The problem is old bags , wet or skin conditioner in the soap.. The glue is the same as is used in make up and is affected by wet surfaces as it dissolves the glue. How do I know I use eurodomes and they use the same glue. Sweat,.urine leakage ,hair conditioner all affect the reliability of the glue. If the bags you use are more than a month old the glue looses some of it\'s stickability so to speak. I fixed my problem by having an artificial sphincter fitted . Talk to your specialist and consider the alternative better way of life.

How to fix loose cross hair on david white transit

This is how I replaced the cross hairs on my David White 8080. Disassemble the tube piece nearest the eye. There is a small ring that holds the hairs, it has small marks on it to indicate where the hairs are to be attached. Use a large lighted magnifying glass. Remove the old hairs. Take some plastic model glue and using a toothpick, place a very small amount on the marks to anchor the new hairs. This type of glue will produce strings or "hairs" when beginning to dry if you use a toothpick to stretch them out. Place some drying glue (several seconds old out of the tube) on one of the marks, and pull the toothpick away (creating a hair) and pull it across the ring to the mark on the other side. Repeat for the second cross hair. With a little practice you can make some very nice cross hairs.

How do i open an altec lansing imt325

A tad late for the original poster but can still be useful for others.
I just got through taking apart my daughters Altec Lansing iMT325 portable speaker and I now know how it is done. :)
The good news is there are no plastic tabs that can breakoff. So after removing the screws if you still can't take apart the casing then you missed a screw. The unit is held to gather by a total of 17 screws.
1) 3 visible screws that keep the flap connected to the bottom of the unit. Once you take these off the flap is still connected by glue to the plastic casing. Use a hair dryer to soften the glue and peal of the flap.
2) Once the flap is off you will have access to 4 screws on the bottom. Remove them.
3) Next there are 8 screws behind the front grill. The grill is glued on so once again you need to use the hair dryer to soften the glue and gently peal back the grill. The 8 screws around the speakers need to be removed. There are also 4 smaller screws that keep the docking station in place. These you don't need to take out to take the unit apart.
4) The last 2 screws are in the battery compartment. Remove these and you should be able to take apart the unit.

Hope you find this helpful.

I would let someone duct tape it to the car temporarily. Tape & glue can be removed with cleaner later on and you need to operate the vehicle. That will give you time to get information from all sources and make the correct decision.

Rockaverb 50 amp head. 1/4 inch plug tip broken off and stuck in 8 ohm socket. How do I open head & casing to remove tip. Are there any diagrams available online that show correct procedure.

actually there are a few ways of doing this that require no disassembly ( and i better get a good rateing for revealing these secrets haha ) check it out. take a Q-Tip and break off one of the fluffy heads. Apply some super glue to the end you broke off and shove that into the 1/4"jack and essentially glue it to the qtr inch tip. let this sit for a second and pull. should come right out IF NOT you can also try to find a screw ( usually a wood screw ) and you can thread that into the hole of the tip of the connector. if this doesnt get it out post back so i'll know and i'll walk you through how to remove the chassis and pcb's safetly. good luck!

Can't get the sticky-ness of a sticker off the cover

  • If your talking the cover and NOT the screen then take some hair spray and spray on a rag and this will wipe the sticky right off. I know this sounds random but I use to deliver appliances back in the day. We carried some hair spray on the truck for those refrigerator and stoves that had stuff stuck that would not come off for anything. Hairspray took it off right away. Finger nail polish remover is a good second runner up for this problem as well.

  • Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa

How to replace rear rotar

Just the rear rotor itself? Or the motor as well?
Tail rotor pops right off, and replacement will pop onto the shaft easily. A small, very carefully applied, drop of super glue will keep tail rotor on firm. If doing that, I recommend you turn the helicopter upside down and then pay close attention that you don't get any glue near where the shaft meets the motor, and don't turn it over again until glue is totally dry.
If the motor needs to be replaced, you'll need soldering equipment, it's a really simple wiring job, but the wires are barely thicker than a hair and not very easy to access. Not recommended unless you're very confident with a soldering gun.
Hope this helps,

Linoleum has curled up beside bathtub

There probably is a reason that it curled and I would guess it is because of moisture getting behind the linoleum. If the linoluem wasn't sealed properly where it meets the tub, that could be the reason. I would use a good grade of construction adhesive (Lowe's, Home Depot....) BUT clean and dry the area you are going to bond to VERY carefully. Remove any old debris or glue. BE CAREFUL if you use a heat gun. It will melt cheap linoleum in a second. Try a hair dryer first and be patient....Once you have it glued (followig the mfg. instructions on the tube), lay something(s) HEAVY on the linoleum and let dry overnight. THEN run a bead of grout and tile sealant along the edge. Good Luck.
