I am 50 years old with long hair that dries frizzy so i have to straighten it, but i want to go short, what style would suit my frizzy prone hair please

I understand your hair type as mine is the same way. I would suggest shoulder length cut with long layers and a side swept bang. Frizzy hair will stay frizzy until you either put product in it or you use a big round brush when blow drying. My favorite time saver after washing my hair is to put a dime size portion of hair oil into your palms and rub together and then run your palms over the top layer of your hair. Blow hair dry. And here's the quick style part. Get a set of velcro hair rollers in the largest and medium size you can find. Use the largest rollers on the top part of the head and medium for bottom layers. Using the hair dryer blow the heat on the curlers for about 15 seconds each. Turn the dryer to a cool setting and blow across each curler again. Remove the curlers and brush out and style. Your hair will be smooth and have body. I use the curlers also on days i don't wash my hair. I just roll the top crown using about 3 rollers to get body on top. I have found the 2 inch rollers work well to give body without curl and also smooth the hair. This is so much faster than using a curling iron or flat iron all over.

Red indicator light is red for roller

Sounds like your roller is jammed up with bits of thread and hair... get in there and really look at those ends... pull/cut but remove the bits of hair that's jamming it up.

Need to clean roller on classic

Unplug, cut hair on rollers and pull to clean. Remove dust bag and use a bent hanger to pull out the clog from the intake tube, most likely there is paper caught in the hair.

My Electrolux Oxygen3 powerhead needs long hair cleaned from the roller. Is there an easier way to get to it than just painfully clipping the hairs and slowly pulling them out? We cannot get the bottom...

Unfortunately the only way to clear the roller is painfully clipping and pulling. If you do happen to remove the roller, it's really alot of trouble to put it all back together.

Hair getting stuck in the belt drive area causing beater to skip

Hair, string, tinsel, etc. have always been problems for rollers and belts. You will have to remove the hair. It can often get stuck at the ends of the rollers also and keep the roller from turning. I usually remove the roller and clean it using a screwdriver, knife, etc. to remove the hair. the cleaning can be done while the roller is still on the unit by turning the unit over although this may not offer as much free access to the roller. Of course, removing the roller means removing the belt and if you are not up to this (I don't know how handy you are), I would try to remove the hair with the roller on. If you do this, be careful not to put any nicks in the belt. Good luck!

Stuck Roller

Befrore you plunk your $ down ...

I dont now that you melted the hair so much as you may have an accululation of gunk and hair. If there is a good (not 'fast food' type) auto parts store near you, go there and ask the counterman for his or her recommendation for cleaning those surfaces. I have had success with OOops and other stuff in that same area.

I hope this helps you

The rollers at the bottom of the sweeper have things stuck around them

You need to start with a pair of scissors and patience. Sit on the floor with the vacuum roller visible and accessible. Snip a string and pull it off. If the roller stops, cut string at that point. Try again. this is time consuming, but necessary. We borrowed a vacuum from a family that had four girls with long blond hair. We had to de-hair the roller before it would work sufficiently on our carpet. Once the hair was off, it worked GREAT! It was so wonderful that we went out and bought a Dyson of our own; now we don't have to remove long blonde hair from the roller to get it to work.
