I dont know the disadvantages of visual basic.

visual basic, is only a basic programming language, most programs will run on Java script, microsoft is visual basic though, but it uses a lot more complex scripts then, if you like the programing language, go for it, but i did not like it.
Also
VB is undoubtedly the simplest and easiest platform to build major Windows applications. The problem is that like other Microsoft products they change faster than I change my socks.You will certainly need more than just VB. Get into server and client side scripting and the use of VB Net.

How can i save the data inputted from a textbox to the recordset or to its table in MS Access?

If you want to save it in MS Access, you need an OLEDB Connection.

You need to declare few arguments first to accomplish your tast like, OLEDB Connection String, Connection, Data Adapter....

I'll write a simple program to show you.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Const cn As String = "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;" & "data source=path of Access file(2003) where you want to save input data.mdb;"

Dim conn As New oledb.OleDbConnection(cn)

Dim objda As New oledb.OleDbDataAdapter

Dim cmd as string = "insert into login (loginid,pass) values('" & TextBox1.Text & "')"

conn.Open()

objda.InsertCommand = New OleDbCommand(sql, conn)

objda.SelectCommand.ExecuteNonQuery()

conn.Close()
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Copy and paste the above source code, and then tell me what happens.
If you got any more quries, don't hesitate to ask.

And If I was helpful, Kindly do Rate!
Regards,
Waqar.

Drawing in Visual Basic 6.0

Hi - You cannot scan directly into VB6 unless you use a third-party control (OCX). You would need to get the data into a database table and use ADO, or, hard-code the data directly into your source code. You can actually grab it from Excel too but that involves automation programming - not hard to do - just more to learn. Have fun!

How do i use date in visual basic 6

Hi,

I am not getting your problem clearly.
If you are referring to save the input dates as date in database with the help of sql query then you need to provide hash(#) mark at the beginning and end of date values. It will resolve your problem.

Hope this helps and let me know if you are not getting the solution clearly.

Thanks.

Inserting data into MSFlexGrid control from an excel file

Have you tried implementing an ADO (Active Data Object) control (available from the toolbox)? Properly configured (and run via OLEDB or Microsoft Jet as appropriate for your setup) it works like a champ.

Vb project

One of three ways:
1 make the table using vb creating a Bload screen.
2 using the visual data manager.
3 import a windows access or excel data base table.

Try the data wizard, easiest to use and U can program the program to manipulate the data in the tables.
