Reddy Heater RM60 HSI Forced Air Heater: Pump Pressure Issue!!

I have had issues with this unit over the past month or so. Firing-up, running for any length of time, etc. Have even had to a dealer twice to be repaired.Would work for a while then not. Replaced the following: Ignitor, fuel filter, photo cell, pump filters, nozzle, nozzle adapter, air/fuel lines and rotor kit. Purchased a pressure gauge to check, (specs call for 3.4psi), put all back together, pressure indicated 2.0 or so; obviously, would not fire. Relief screw adjustment made NO difference to increase pressure per gauge. I just ordered a new end cap and pump adjustment kit as now the treads are stripped from the adjustments (or lack thereof) ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE HELPFUL AT THIS POINT.

Thanks! reddy heater RM60 It just shuts off after running a minimum lenghth of time
Any Suggestions???

This is a pulsate heater. using a non liquid gauge you should see a fast sweeping needle on your gauge between 3-4 no lower no higher. if no sweeping check pulsate valve in the filter tube orange
rubber like in the filter tube wash out and make sure all hosing is air tight

Ground wire on the circuit board needs to be checked and these units need to have a GOOD three wire cord with a proper grounded outlet

Reddy-Heater will start then run about 10 seconds then stop.

The heater has a photocell that has to see the correct flame or it will cause the heater to turn the unit off.
I would suggest checking the the pump pressure and the output filter to make sure you are getting the correct amount of pump pressure to the nozzle.

Here is a link to the actual service manual.

R100 reddy heater, low pressure forced air heater. the heater ignites, motor runs for 30 seconds then shuts down. photo cell good, filters clean, no ignition board, pump pressure unknown.

The R100 is a kerosene heater and the RLP100 is a propane heater so I am not sure when one you have.
If it is kerosene then you may need to check the pump pressure. Also the Safety swith can give you a cut out after 30 seconds.

If the unit is Propane then you could have a bad control board or a flame sensor.

Heater will not stay on rm60 reddy heater

When you say the heater is coming on does it actually ignite or is the motor just running until the safety circuit kicks it off? The air pump on you heater should blow at 3.5 to 4 psi which runs up to the nozzle which is a venturi which sucks the fuel out of the tank. The motor will generally run for 20 to 30 seconds trying to ignite. If the flame sensor does not sufficient flame during the time it shuts the motor off. Check these items and let me know what you find.
