I own the r451c which has an mp3 player, but when i insert the micro sd and go to music player, i get a prompt that says no mp3, what am doing wrong

You have to load mp3s on the micro SD card via the computer. To do it properly, you must place the mp3s in the folder that says My_Music which is located in the micro SD card. That folder is created once the micro SD card is first inserted into the phone.
I hope that helps.

Micro sd probelem

Well, the most memory from a micro sd card the Sansa mp3 player can take is 2gb, because anything more will freeze up the player because it was not designed to read that much memory. So if you have a 1gb or a 2gb memory card, then you can use them.

Adding memory

the only way you can expand the memory is using a micro sd which the iriver e100 wil only take up 16 gb micro sd
and i have a 512 mb and i can store all my files on it

Sgh-g600 music player won't start

I had the same problem however, i read up that if you go to: My files > Music > Memory Card, then if you scroll down, below 'Other files' should be the last song you downloaded or got sent. I simply deleted it and then WALLAH it worked. I hope this helps thankyou!!

How to access SD micro card on sansa e250

I expected to find the new playlists on the SD card as a separate file to access and play. Instead the SD card songs show on up the Sansa menu simply added among the existing songs / artists stored in the Sansa. Its not a solution but they are there. Since using the SD card, my Sansa does databse refresh everytime it starts, whether SD card is in it or not.

SD card = too big for player to read. Get a smaller SD card.

Music player and micro sd card

I have found that mine didn't recognize songs if the name of the song was too long. Try going into Windows explorer (with the micro sd card in the computer) and rename at least one of the songs as a test. If that song is recognized by the phone, go back and shorten the names on the rest of the card. Good luck!
