SOURCE: The motor on my Genie Chain Glide garage door

If the chain does not move but the motor runs then you have stripped the internal gears. I would replace here. These chain glide units are not very strong. There might be a chance the chain is telescoping down the rail but the trolley is not hooked up. Pull the red cord back toward the motor to engage. Thanks BB

press and hold the learn button for a count of ten. then press and release the button once and then press and hold you remote your remote until you see the light flash. do this for each remote

probably the wire fell off one of the Door obstruction sensors
Check the wiring on the little reflector things on the tracks at floor level

How to set acsctg type 2

There is a button on the motor head you can press. Press it then press the button on the remote 3 times and try it. If not try it again. Genies are bad for not coding in the first time. Make sure there are new batteries in it. Thanks BB

Sounds like you are in need of replacement gears. It is like the transmission going out in your car. I would leave this to a pro but if you want to do it parts can be found at genie.com or overheaddoor.com. Thanks BB
