If you know what is a flyback transformer in a CRT monitor, then you'll identify the horizontal section on the board. Refer to pics below for reference.

Where is usb port on model 786n mag innovision desktop

The MAG Innovision 786N is a CRT monitor. It will not have a USB port. Look on the computer for a flat input, approximately 1/2 inch wide x 1/8 inch tall. There are likely two or more together, those are your USB ports. Unless your computer is more than 10 years old...

I just inherited (literally) a virtually new eMachine 786N monitor. I say, "new" because the previous owner probably logged no more that 100-200 hours on the thing. Hooked it uop to my HP...

Sounds like symptoms that the monitor needed to be degaussed (pronounced "Dee' Gowsed"),
and, since most modern (conventional CRT) monitors will degauss themselves upon power-up,
it looks like your restart addressed the problem.

Usually, a CRT that need to be degaussed will develop blurring at the edges first, but its possible
that the monitor was affected by stray magnetic field(s) over time, and failed to successfully
degauss at initial startup (the degaussing circuit won't necessarily succeed the first time if a large magnetic field has built up).

Here's your wikipedia entry on the concept:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Degaussing

Here's a how-to, in case you want to (or end up needing to) do it manually:
pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/ht/degauss.htm

It looks like a .PDF service manual may be available free here:

My problem is, how can i know the value of a damage capacitor which is exploded, innovision mag crt monitor..

Hi,
For your information there is no value of a damage capacitor. It may damage transistor. So there is a complicated network of caps and coils with relay switch. You have to removed each cap and checked it for short, open, and correct capacitance. Replace the capacitor soon. Purchase a compatible capacitor and solder it.

17" crt monitor after 5 min pincusion bend give me

This can be due to a change in the frequency of the horizontal section. You will need to remove the back cover and clean the set. Look for any damaged capacitor in the horizontal section relative to the pin cushion correction section. It is possible that when the set warms up the change occurs and so if you are able to cool off the suspected section the fault can eb pointed out easily using a freeze-it spray. Point to the heated section spray and see if the fault reverses if so the component is a the suspect.

this might be the problem of the disk capacitor of value 2kv, which is located at the horizontal section, i.e from the collector of horizontal output transistor.

That is capacitors problem, I would change all the caps in the 5v and 12v power supply section, you can have bad caps with high ESR. Also look at the caps on the logic board. I use hair dryer for troubleshooting to locate bad caps.

If the width is shrinking, check also if the edges are now distorted too.
If so, there is a 'bipolar' capacitor in the high voltage section that is failing.
To find and verify this, you will need a meter that can measure capacitance, and perferably, DF or losses of capacitors as well.

If you ignore this, the horizontal will continue to shrink until the deflection stops completely and can cause other, more costly parts to fail although these may also be weakened and failing.

I'm afraid this is not a DIY problem.

I think it's busted

you need to open the case and check the capacitors and if they seem doomed or color is leaking then replace the bad ones that should stabilize the power to the vertical ic chip
