Question about Epson Aculaser C1100 Printer
Have cleared all the paper out and can't see any more in it but Jam E still shows on the screen
There are two main causes of this error on C11's. Firstly does the paper get picked up and partly fed when you try to print?
If the answer is yes then it is likely that the sensor actuating arm on the transport unit has been unseated, a common occurence. To check for this, open the back cover and feel if the actuating arm springs back when pressed. It is located centrally about one third way up the black plastic transport unit. If it is missing/loose then you will need to remove the transport unit to reseat it.
If the paper does not get picked up at all then it is 99% likely to be a faulty solenoid which is also very common on this model series. This can be very complicated and will require a replacement solenoid to hand before you start.
Let me know which of the above it is and I will give a detailed description of what is required.

I had the same problem, paper was not being picked up, so I bought a new solenoid and replaced it, however still appears the solenoid is not releasing (like the old one). Any ideas?
