Try reinstalling driver, change the data cable between the printer and the computer...

Hold down the paper feed button while turning it on (or the change ink button) and it should print a self test...

for info on self test instructions let me know the printer make and model...

HOW TO CHECK AND FIX PRINT SPOOLER SERVICE THAT CAUSES UNABLE TO PRINT FILE

Print spooler service is a computer service that loads the print jobs into the printer memory for later printing and it acts as intermediary between a computer and a printer. When the print spooler service is stopped or malfunction, printing is not possible.

Here are the possible reasons :

1. Virus or Malware infection.

2. Spooler service was stop by accident or turn off to manual/disable mode.

3.Faulty installed printer driver that contains error or incompatible with previous printer drivers installed in your computer or system.

4. Print jobs and drawing jobs were corrupted by accident which caused print que lock and resulting print spooler service to crash.

5. Your printer had printing problem issue with pdf files.

To fix this problem, you have to check if the print spooler service had stop.

Here's how to check and fix the print spooler service.

Go to START
Choose RUN
Type SERVICES.MSC
Click on PRINT SPOOLER and check if the STATUS IS STARTED
If not, on the upper left side, click on STOP to stop the spooler service
Then click on RESTART to restart the spooler
Restart your printer and your computer
Then try to print again and it will surely solve your printing problem.

Another procedure :

Go to START
Right click on DOS command prompt and run as administrator
You should be in this command directory before you
Type CMD and be sure you are in this directory C:Windows\System32
And if not, type this to change the directory, CHDIR C:Windows\System32
Type NET STOP SPOOLER and message will appear like this

benjz_1.png
Exit and go to C: DRIVE
Choose WINDOWS and click show content if not view all the folder files
Choose SYSTEM32
Choose SPOOL
Choose printer and delete printing jobs if any
Again right click on Command prompts and run as administrator
Type NET START SPOOLER
Exit and restart your printer and your computer
I will works fine right now.

NOTE : You can bypass the C:Drive procedure and just type NET STOP SPOOLER AND NET START SPOOLER in the DOS COMMAND PROMPT if you believe that there are no printing jobs pending.

Another procedure is to download this troubleshooting software and follows the troubleshooter wizard and it will fix your print spooler service automatically and some common problems as well.

I cleared a paper jam from an HP Deskjet 6122, but now it won't respond to commands from the computer. I've restarted the printer and the computer. Now the print manager just says it's...

First things frist. If the printer is conected with a USB Cable to your computer, try removing and reinserting the usb cable. To make sure that it is properly connected.
You might just have unintentionally got the printer in offline mode. Now follow this steps:
To check if it is offline. 1. Go to devices and printers (7), Printers and Faxes(XP), Printers (Vista) 2. Double click on the printer icon 3. Click the option that says Printer on the upper left corner of the window that pops up.
Th only options that you need checked is the one that says Set as Default Printer. For any other options that has a check mark. Click on them to remove the check mark.
4. Click Start again, on the search box type in services.msc, hit Enter. For XP, CLick Run, and type the same thing and then hit ok. 5. A window should pop up with the list of services for your computer. Look for Print Spooler in that list. 6. Right Click on the Print Spooler and Click Stop. 7. Right Click on the Print Spooler and Click Start.
Restart your computer. Try printing again.

My Canon Pixma IP 2200 Inkjet Photo Printer won't respond to any printing commands. It is installed in my programmes. I have tried troubleshooting re setting but it still won't work.

Bottom right of your computer screen where your speaker icon would be? Is there a printer icon?
Printers will buffer (collect) till they can be printed. even if you shut down your computer and restart, these buffered print ques may not leave - printer traffic stops on this first print in the Que.
Right mouse click this printer icon and open all active printers. if there is more then one in this buffer, then select all of these and cancel them..

If this doesn't help and your USB and power cables are connected then unplug your USB cable and wait about 10 seconds and then reinsert your usb cable - see if your computer responds by indicating your printer has been identified. And try printing then.

Best photo printing and general use printing. Canon

Its not printing all connections intact

It sounds like you are saying that the unit does not respond at all to print commands. Click on "Start" then "Control Panel" then "Printers and other Hardware" then "View installed printers and fax printers" then click on the printer icon in question.

This should open a new window. At the top click on "printer" scroll down to "properties" and click on it.

This will open another new window where you can print a test page. If the unit gives a message such as " cannot find printer" or "printer not ready" you probably have a bad driver and should reinstall a new one.

The hp website would be the best place to get the most up to date driver at http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/support.html . Follow the on screen instructions to locate and download your driver. Install it on your computer and restart the computer.

If this was the problem your unit should now print.

Thanks for using FixYa and for the great rating.

All in One Printer/Scanner/Copier will not respond to print command.

Pls make sure that your computer recognizes your Printer, if it doesn't it would never respond to any print command you sent
check to see (if the computer recognizes)
1- go to start then select printer
2- select your desired printer - right click
3- go to properties
4- select print PRINT TEST PAGE
5- check the message on your paper

if it doesnt then you might have installed a wrong driver
