SOURCE: crank won't stay on even though it's screwed in

Here is a website with very good info and pictures:http://www.parktool.com/repair/byregion.asp?catid=59&imageField2.x=13&imageField2.y=5 Depending on the type of crank you have it may need to be replaced. If they become slightly loose they will wear at the mounting point, especially square holed ones and you will not be able to tighten them anymore. Let me know if this helped.

SOURCE: I have gotten an "error"

Hi,

Generally you can solve this problem by hitting the Clear button or shut down and re-start the machine. After restart, if you still have an E-error, then check whether there is anything jammed in the printer.

SOURCE: My Canon PowerShot A620 will

Unfortunately, many cameras that fall prey to lens error problems can only be corrected by professional repair. But, here are some last resort troubleshooting steps that you can try that may correct it. They only seem to work for less than 40% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty (or repair cost approaches that of the camera), they're worth that try.
By the way, I also own an A620, great camera! Hope you have luck with the above.

SOURCE: my seat is perpetually loose.

Use something to tighten the lever tighter. Like a wrench or a steel tube. Just to give you more strength. Or you could wear gloves or a towell to turn the lever harder.

Good Luck

If I let go of the handlebars the 2006 Kingpin leans right and of course turns right. I also have a highspeed side to side wobble but it is sporadic. That is side to side not front to back. I've checked...

Most likley your rear wheel is slightly off center. Loosen axle retainer nut and tighten left side adjuster no more than 15 degree's, tighten retainer nut to 65 ft/lbs and take for ride.

How do I adjust the steering head bearing from a 2008 HD road king classic

Jack bike so front wheel is off the ground.
Push handlebar to left until front end starts to continue turn by itself.
When it hits the fork stop (rubber bumper), it should bounce to the right, fall back to the left, then bounce right one more time before stopping, somewhere around the center position.

Remove headlight nacelle.
Remove steering stem nut (on top of top triple clamp).

Under the top triple clamp is a star adjuster ring.
Tighten to decrease swing (tightening bearings).
Loosen to increase swing (loosening bearings).

Reinstall steering stem nut (60-80 ft/lbs).
Reinstall headlight nacelle.

How to timing and adjust valve tappet clereance

Remove the crankshaft tappet cap at the front of the motor and the timing inspection cap on the top right side of the rear cover.
Take off your valve covers.
Rotate the motor clockwise and align the TL mark with the pulsar index mark. Check that all the valves are loose on the left cylinder. The left cylinder must be at T.D.C. top dead center on the compression stroke.
At this time you can adjust your cam chain tension if you are not out fitted with an automatic cam chain tensioner (the cx650 automatic cam chain tensioner will fit in the manual tension models). Loosen the hex stud above the timing inspection hole and re tighten, done.

VALVE CLEARANCE
IN: 0.08 mm (0.003 in.)
EX: 0.10 mm (0.004 in.)

Adjust the valves on the left head first ("TL" mark). Loosen the lock nut, turn the screw until there is SLIGHT drag on the feeler gauge. It is very important that you do not over tighten the valves. The Rocker assembly floats on oil and will zero tolerance the valves all by itself. If you over tighten the valves it will push the rocker to one side and damage the rocker bearing/shaft. Hold the screw and tighten the lock nut . Recheck the valve clearances.
Rotate the crankshaft clockwise and align the "TR" mark on the rotor with the pulsar index mark. The right cylinder must be at T.D.C. at the compression stroke.Make sure all the valves are loose. Adjust the valves and recheck the tolerance after tightening.
Reassemble the motor.

Changing blades. To loosen the blades nut, which way does it turn?

hi. you dont say what make or model but I offer the following. if it's just a single bolt or nut holding the blade it will rely on a bellville type washer (dished ) or will be pegged either side of the nut or bolt, if the later try to drive the pegs down level with the mounting boss, now get a couple of friends to lift the whole deck so you can secure the nut or bolt in a vice (vise) and using both hands turn the blade itself the opposite way that you would turn the nut, this has never failed for me, if the blades counter rotate, one will be left hand thread the other right hand. bear in mind that a rotary blade spins at around 150-200 mph, every time you hit an obstruction (and you will) the blade will tighten particularly if secured with a belleville type washer. best of luck

How do i tighten the chain on 2002 yz250?

  • Loosen off the axle nut (B) until it is only lightly tightened. Wind out the chain adjuster bolts (C) evenly on both sides until you reach the desired tension. You will see the top of the chain rise as you wind out the adjuster bolts.on pic below

Once you reach the correct tension, make sure both sides are evenly spaced (using the marker grooves on the adjuster blocks). Squeeze the chain against the swingarm with your hand to hold everything in place and tighten up the axle nut.Tighten up the chain adjuster lock nuts. Now you're ready to ride!
  • Tighten up the chain adjuster lock nuts and thats it buddy measure the chain on the swing anr amr it should be 45mm slack on the swing and arm where the chain slider is 54159bf.jpg

Sounds like you have a loose signal lead. Check to see if this cab be tightened if not replace the cable as this could be the cause of the problem. Over time the leads/plugs do loosen especially on subs as they vibrate so much. If it's not this then it's probably something internal to which I am reluctant to advise you on looking at yourself unless you are pretty proficient with electronics :P
