Question about Intel Gigabyte 8I845GVM-RZ 82845GV GMCH chipset 533MHz FSB DDR333 Socket 478 mATX Motherboard with L... (MB47GB5GVMRZ)
I have a 82845g graphics controler and it dose not support vista. would i have to get a graphics card? would it work if i do?
Yes, you will need a new graphics card, if you want to run Vista. The card you have does not have Vista drivers available. Most new video cards do support vista, the question you might need to consider is your system hardware going to handle Vista. Here is a link for system hardware specifications from Microsoft. Check your system against the list, before doing the change to Vista. XP is still a great operating system and runs well on most systems.
I hope this helps,
Thanks for using FixYa,
