Batterys probaily short ciricuiting on the system, thats why it's gettin' hot , so remove it and check to see if the metal bits look like this like this II I II and replace it , if still not working contact a w380i boffin .

I talked to one of the support people and they told me to try to update my software. He also said that if that does not work, to call Sony Ericsson and decide where to get the phone fixed because it is an internal problem unless you guys have a crack in the screen. We'll see how that works:)
