with the laptop over on its back you will see two screw holes seperated apart by a couple inches right in the middle of the case. These screw holes are in the middle of two recesses molded into the case bottom. The screw on the right is the screw that releases the keyboard. Once this screw is removed, the only other thing holding the laptop keyboard is the 5 retaining tabs along the bottom of the keyboard. Release these and rotate the keyboard up and release the cable from the motherboard.
Sony makes getting a keyboard off it laptop like trying to launch a shuttle craft. Take the three screws out on the bottom, Push in the two detent tabs at the top of the keyboard, the hold it in place when on the palmrest. They are located at F5 and Num Lock keys. Now take a thin skewer or wire and push through where the screws were, this will release the keyboard. Now slide the keyboard toward the screen and that releases the lower detents that hold it at the lower part of the palmrest....nor unplug the cable and you are good to go. Oh, by the way below is the link to the service manual for your laptop....it has it fully illustrated.....
under the keyboard there is a screw. you have to open the keyboard, there is a lock near the speaker, you will neat a very thin flathead screw driver. near the key F1 F5 F12 and insert. open that and you see what i mean
ou must first take off the top plate where the buttons are. Start from
the right side and work your way over, the there shouild be 3 screws
holding the keyboard down. Once the screws are out slide keyboard up
and disconnected the connectors on the botton.
