I need to know how to re-wire the ccs5000 rocker switch

I had a massive paper jam. So, I removed the top shell and disconnected the wires from the switch. I did not note the positions of the different colored wires. I resolved the jam and now I need to know how to reconnect the sequence to reconnect the spade tips.

I had the same thing hapen to my Ccs5000. I found both pieces and super-glued them together. When the joint was completely dry, I super-glued two strips of plastic perpendicular to the original brake line. It has worked for about 5 years with no problems. Good Luck David

SOURCE: Our Achiever CCS5000 worked well until it was

Hi Alan,'

it is not available, you could find the interlock switch and jump them...cut wires off of switch and twist together, then use electrical tape.

How to remove washer lid to replace lid lock

Remove power to the unit.
Locate the console and remove two phillips head screws. Most
models have them in the front, bottom of the console. In some of the newer models they are located in the back, bottom of the console. Some washers require you to remove two end caps on the console to access the screws.
After you remove the two screws, slide the console slightly forward and then up. The console will then hinge to the back of the washer.
With the console now hinged back, locate the lid switch harness.
Disconnect the harness and check for resistance between the 2 grey wires (outside) on the lid switch connector connected to top of washer. With the lid down the circuit should read no resistance. If the circuit is open(infinite resistance) then the switch needs to be replaced. You can also use a insulated jumper on the lid switch harness to determine if its the switch.
To replace the lid switch you will now have to remove the cabinet. Use a flat head screwdriver to remove the two clips holding the back of the washer to the outer shell of the washer.
Disconnect the lid switch harness(If not still disconnected).

You can now pull the outer shell away from the washer. Do this by
grasping the outer shell (I open the lid and grab it there.) and tilt the shell forward (toward you) and out. The shell is now removed and you can see the tub. Be careful not to bend the outside walls of the shell when removing and setting aside. This will help greatly when reinstalling the shell. Remove the 2 screws attaching switch to cabinet. Remove the screw connecting the ground on the cabinet. Use a flat blade screwdriver to push tabs on lid switch connector block to remove. Finally remove the whole harness from the 2 remaining retainer clips under the cabinet. Install new lid switch harness assembly and reassemble washer.

How do you fix a broken stop switch on a 455 rancher

The stop switch is just a red plastic rocker that connects the earth cut out wire from the ignition unit, to a grouding wire to cut the ignition,it can be changed on the machine, however it is much easier to remove the air filter housing, start by removing the screws, two at the top and two at the bottom, disconnect the earth wire and the earth return wire, the upper wire has a spade conection onto the earthing strip, the lower wire also has a spade conection but just pushes into the red ignition rocker switch, unhook the choke from the carb, once the housing is removed gently pry out the blue choke pull from the housing, once removed pry off the broken rocker switch, this is sprung loaded via the earthing strip, pay close attention to how this is fitted, so as you know where to re fit if ( take a photo with a mobile phone to help with re instalation )now fit the new rocker switch, re install the earthing strip, re fit the choke pull, re assemble the air filter housing onto the back of the carb, re connect the wires.

Hello. I have a Brother MFC-6490CW A3 printer, and this morning I was printing and the paper jammed, I removed what I could manually however there is still some paper jammed that I can remove. The...

Hi Good day!!!

The paper jam you had probably lifted the long, thin, plastic encoder strip in the pathway out of its slot, giving the false indication of a paper jam. In order to put it back in its place, please carry out the following steps:

1) Lift the cover and remove the two plastic panels covering wires. Mark down the position of cables, then remove them, and remove the now-freed top scanner
section entirely.

2) Remove the screws from the top plastic shell. There's two in the back and four in the front. There's also two plastic tabs in the front that must be bent aside before you can remove the top shell.

3) Gently put the encoder strip back in its plastic guide, and check if you are able to get your printer to work all right thereafter.

If you are not comfortable carrying out the steps, I would strongly suggest you to have it repaired by your local Brother service center, without causing further complications.

Don't forget to vote thanks!!!

I am replacing a single pole switch that contains two rockers - one controls some lights, the other the garbage disposal. I am using a Levitron 5634; when I removed the broken switch it had 3 wires...

You have the hot wire on the wrong side of the switch. The side of the switch with the fin is where you put the hot wire. On the other side of the switch where there is no fin is where you put the other two wires one on each screw. When you have it wired that wat your switch will work like the old one. Also if you would like the lights to come on with the top part of switch. But works with the bottom switch you just need to switch the two wires from top to bottom.

Maytag washer lid switch bad, how do I replace?

To replace the switch remove the shell of the washer. *Unplug the washer first!* There are likely screws on the back around the perimeter, which attach the shell to a base. Remove these, and any others which hold the shell in place. Be careful, there might be wires between the shell and base, which you don't want to pull out or damage. Once you have access to the inside, locate the switch, and disconnect the wire leads, which are likely connected via plastic crimp-on fasteners. They should slide right off the switch terminals. The switch is likely screwed into place, go ahead and remove it. Either replace with the Maytag replacement part, -OR- remove the switch and copy the specs printed on the side. It will be important to purchase a switch that is rated for the same voltage, amp load, and default open/closed position. A trip to Radio Shack might be a solution, or jump over to The switch is likely to resemble one from this page:

*Edit* ignore the removal of the shell; forgot the top pops off as mentioned previously. Hopefully the rest of the info helps some...

Jammed shredder

Unscrew four (4) screws, two in front underneath top cover and two in back of top cover. BE careful not to disconnect any wires.
Rotate motor gear or belt in reverse to remove jam. Do not put oil on paper because it expands the paper thickness and only makes it worse.

If your unit has a mechanical paper feed sensor located in the center of the paper feed area there may be paper behind it causing switch not to activate. If it is an electronic sensor you probally have a burned out sensor, switch or a bad pc board. You will need to contact manufacturer for info on part replacement.
