Find the "device manager" in "control panel" (through the windows/start icon, alternatively and slightly quicker, write "Device Manager" into the search box in the Windows/Start icon) look for your printer in the lists, when you find it, right click it, select "properties" this will bring up a box which under one of the tabs should give you the options "Update Drivers" or "Roll Back Drivers". this is the way I do it anyway. If this is a Canon CR-180 or 180II machine then the feed tires need to be replaced. Often if you are using the grey feed tires, the middle one will come loose from the platic hub and cause this problem no matter how much you tighten the tension wheel. The part numbers of the seperatrion roller assembly and the feed tire assembly are as follows.

MG1-3530-000 Seperation roller (has 3 tires)
MF1-4210-000 Feed roller (has 2 tires)

You can also replace the two in the hopper area, they are:

MF1-4352-000
MF1-4353-000

That is a common problem on older machines; hopefully that helps

clean both the lens's contact and body's, if corrosion use nice emery paper.

Embarassingly enough, a reboot took care of the issue! Duh.....

How can you get to the mirrors inside the machine to clean an ink build up? We are seeing think black lines on the items that are ran at the branches with these machines. Can you clean this off?
