9. (00001001) Phase 1 to 5 - Size Error

The Display size switch setting does not match that stored in memory.
Action - Reselect the size of Smartdrive by using the SIZE SETTING MODE. Push and hold
the water temp up button, then press the power button to enter SIZE SETTING MODE. Three
LEDs are used to identify size. The cold water temperature LED identifies 5kg. The low water
level LED identifies 6kg. The hold spin speed LED identifies 7kg. If the product has not been
setup before all 3 LEDs will be on. To set the size for 5kg push the wash temp up button then
the power button. To set the size for 6kg push the water level up button then the power button.
To set the size for 7kg push the spin speed up button then the power button. This locks the size
into memory. To check the size is set, start a cycle.

Sounds as if the control board took a power surge.

If it won't start now, you would need to check for spark to the plugs and fuel pressure along with trouble codes in the computer.
You'll need to know what direction to go in to proceed.
It's possible the computer shut down the engine if it was too hot, but your temp gauge should have reflected that.

You can fool with this and loose all your food to spoilage or get a service tech out to fix it or just replace it.

Those are LED lights that can be replaced, but do NOT go to the dealer! They'll try to get you to replace the entire cluster.

There's a way you can take care of this, if youre handy.

To replace a bulb, you'll have to cut n re-solder an LED that you can pick up at Radio Shack.

Hi - if that red led light comes on as you press start - then the display module is faulty - however it's not always the case - often its the motor controller module thats faulty..

Your call - display module first and hope it works or controller.

The manufacturers recommended procedure is to replace the display module (primary) if it still doesnt work then replace the control module (secondary).

Yes, normally there is small bulbs at the back that light up the gauges

The OF OF display is the OFF setting, used for display purposes, so the light and controls light, but the refrigerator does not run while it is on display at a dealer. Try pushing in and holding the top two buttons on the left side of the display for about 5 seconds at the same time to get it out of the display mode. You should be able to set temps then.
