If you hooked up the drain to the disposal directly there is no vent in the line. Use the air vent on the sink to connect the dishwasher drain hose. If there is no air vent, then you'll have to install one in the sink.
there is probably nothing wrong with Dishwasher itself.
Your Sink drain is stopped up or your Garbage disposal is clogged.
usually, dishwasher drain is connected to the Garbage Disposal, but if the dishwasher empties the water into the Garbage disposal, if its clogged then water will come out of the sink. Same if sink is clogged between sink and sewer.
If you fill up your sink and then water drains away, then you know your sink itself is not the problem. If its only the Garbage disposal side that does not drain, its the garbage disposal that is clogged.
Take apart the tubular drain pipes beneath sink and clean out everything. Take photos before removing pipes so parts go back together easily. Loosen 2 nuts on trap, and trap falls loose. Remove 2 bolts/screws and remove tailpiece from side of disposal. Then run snake down drain line leading away from sink to make sure blockage is removed.
If I understand correctly, your garbage disposal came loose from the sink basket.
The darker blue arrows point to the connector disc. The connector disc rotates freely when garbage disposal is not connected to sink basket. The trick is to lift the disposal into place with one hand. Push up hard while keeping disposal perfectly flat and aligned with sink basket. Then use other hand to rotate connector until it catches on sink basket.
Before starting: Disconnect the tubular drain pipes because these pipes will have to be re-sealed. The electric wire and dishwasher hose can stay connected
you are disabled or impaired, use a car jack or bottle jack to lift the
disposal ... but go slow and don't lift the whole sink.
Now to reconnect the tubular drain pipes. All drain pipes that were moved during the garbage disposal event should be taken apart. Disassemble these pipes. Clean the pipes and washers. If washers are rubber, buy new ones. If washers are plastic, re-use old ones after they are cleaned. I use rectoseal on all tubular washers when installing pipes under the sink. Coat the washers with plenty of rectoseal and the tubular drain pipes will seal first-time with no leaks.
