Careful, blades may not be dull, most of the time it is the blade alignment that needs correcting even on used blades, been cutting and repairing clippers for over twenty years.  Repairmen dont like to tell you this.

I have a problem, when i cut larger piece of wood, my cut is not a strait, but looks like is copying large circle. Please help. Thanks Jan

Sounds like you have hit a nail or some other hard object with just on side of the blade. The teeth on the blade have what it called set. If you hold a sawblade up vertically and look at the teeth say number 1 tooth points one direction and number 2 points the other so tooth 1,3,5,7 and so one point one direction 2,4,6,8 etc. point the other this is what gives you kerf so the blade doesn't bind. Basically what you have are sharp teeth on one side and dull teeth on the other. So what happens when you saw is the blade will pull in the direction of the teeth that are dull. To make a long story short just replace the blade with a new one. Carbide is the best.

Sharpen chainsaw chain

I have four options when my chain saw blade gets dull. 1) replace it with a new one. 2) take it to a repair shop and pay half the price of a new blade. 3) Use my hand sharpening file kit from Lowe's, or 4) Use my electric chain saw blade sharpener form Harbor Freight. I recently purchased one for about $30 on sale. In one setting I earned the price of the sharpener by sharpening my old blades that were just hanging on a peg waiting to take to the repair shop. Really, the sharpener takes a small amount of skill, but the few minutes it takes to learn can save a lot of time and moo-lah.

Would I be able to replace the blade on my scroll saw? How would I go about doing this?

It is possible to replace the balde on your scroll saw when it gets dull. Make sure that you do change the blade to be very careful because the new one will be very sharp. Following the instructions on this site will help you out.

Dull blades

You need to send them in to have them sharpened periodically. If you look in the yellow pages under sharpening or google it you should find places to send your blades to. Or you can buy new ones but sharpening them is definitely cheaper

I have a Homedics PC200 which I have owned and used for at least 10 years. Is there a way to replace the head or sharpen the blade? It "bites" my boy's scalp when I use it.

go to a razor shop or electric appliance shop and ask for the replacement blades for your model. You can usually unscrew the blades with phillips screw driver. Be careful when replacing the blades to adjust them properly so the top blade doesn't extend over the underlying blade. The blade that moves should be retracted 1\16 of an inch

Need advice on how to sharpen Wahl animal clippers

try getting they sharpened but this time when you use them oil between the two blades before during and after use. oil will maintain the useful life of blades.

Can't disassemble massager.

I don't have the Homedics programmable, but I have taken apart my Brookstone programmable (and lots of old Homedics massagers).

I'm going to guess the screws concealment method is similar. On the under side of the massager, look for small oval-shaped outlines that are the same color as the rest of the body. Mine had four. These are little plastic plugs that you can pry out with a tiny flat screwdriver or a razor blade. The screws are hidden under these plastic plugs.

I hope this helps

Serger blade is dull

You blade definitely needs replacing. It is something that you could probably do yourself if you paid very close attention to the position of the current blade before removing it and get the new blade lined up exactly the same way. That is the best place to start. Then very carefully turn the hand wheel by hand while the machine is unthreaded. You could even place a piece of fabric under the foot and see if the knife is going to cut the fabric. If all is well and there is no grinding or hitting, you should be good to go.
