There are small DIP switches in the fan head and small switches in the remote. The head and the remote have to match. If you have two remotes, you can set fan heads and remotes to different channels. Video shows it.

sw 1;2;4 --> 2 up on
sw 3 --> 4 down

You need to completely power off (wall switch or breaker) when changing the dip switches. Not just power off from remote because it will keep previous setting. I learned it the hard way....

Those aren't transistors in the transmitter they are jumpers. Match the jumper settings with your dip switch settings in the receiver. You can move the jumpers in the transmitter using a small needle nose pliers. An open jumper in the transmitter equals an OFF setting on the dip switch in the receiver.

The dip switch is on the receiver box which is located inside the housing on the ceiling, inside the remote control, and inside the wall switch if you have a wall switch made to control the fan.  All must have the same dip switch settings.
