A hair iron (or hair tong) is a type of hair tool that uses heat to change the structure of the hair ie to straighten it or crimp it. They do get very hot but it's not as scary as it sounds.

Need instructions on how to use product!

the glove is a heat protective styling glove so you can touch your hair without burning your hand. It is pretty easy to burn yourself because it is so hot. try watching the TiGi videos on YouTube. For a more wavy look I keep my hair around the curler for a couple of seconds and then I run my fingers through.

Anyone got good advice how I can avoid getting a hair iron burn?

Here's a tip that I find really helpful - stick a thin plastic comb between your scalp and the curling iron. It will stop the iron from getting too close to the scalp.

Is it better to buy metal hair irons or ceramic ones?

Everyone has different opionions about why type of hair irons to buy, so if you can you should use friends irons before you commit yourself to spending a lot of money. I know that personally I think the metal ones are useless and I really love my ceramic hair iron.

If you straighten your hair with a hair iron do you need to use a protection spray?

Yes - the heat from hair irons can really dry out your hair which is why you shouldn't do it every day. Also you should use a protection spray. Buy a good quality spray, it will last you quite a while and really make a difference.
