Question about iLO (2 GB) MP3 Player

1 Answer

Button/Jack The buttons on my player have started to stop working. The down/stop button will only work if its warm and if you push it repeatedly. Also the headphone jack isnt working properly, unless theres pressure on top of the headphone plug/jack the left headphone wont work. Its not the headphones but the jack.

Wont play the whole song

Sounds like the player is running in INTRO mode, only playing the first part of each song. To change playback mode, follow the steps as described below.

Switch the player ON and start music playback:
1. Press PLAY button to START music to play
2. Press PLAY button again to PAUSE the playback
3. Press MODE button to enter playback mode selection
4. Scroll with MODE button through selections
5. Press MODE button when selection REPEAT is in the display
6. Use MODE button to select from: Normal, Repeat One, Repeat
within current Folder (if any), Repeat Folders (if any), Repeat
All songs, Random Play back, and Intro
7. Press MODE button to confirm selection

My songs are shuffled

Since you cannot see what you are doing on the screen, I will tell you what buttons to push to un-shuffle your songs. Press the buttons in the exact order I tell you. Ok. Turn off the mp3 player, then turn it back on. Press the little menu button. Push the left arrow button once. Press the play button 3 times slowly. You are now in the menu that gives you the following options to unshuffle your music:
1. Off
2. Repeat single Track
3. Shuffle/No Repeat
4. Repeat all Tracks
5. Repeat all With Shuffle

I'm guessing that you may have to push the down arrow once or the up arrow once. This should select the Repeat all Tracks option. After scrolling up or down one time, press the play button once, then the menu button twice. Now push play to start your music. If this does not work, you can set your player back to the default settings by pushing the menu button once, pushing left arrow once, hit the play button. Scroll down 5 times, hit the play button, and push down 3 times. Be careful, because if you do not push the down arrow THREE times, you might accidentally select the option of erasing the memory.Once you push down 3 times and hit the play button, push down once more to select Yes of reseting your player back to it's original settings. This should help you out.

Locked Out of MP3 Player

Most things with "Hold" button don't turn off the device. So I surspect there might be a deeper problem. You could try to check the battery see if it's still good. As last resourt, you could try to open it up and see if some how buttons are permanently pressed. You could even try to power it on without the switches. Most of this MP3 players (the small 1 that uses only 1 battery) are pretty much self contain so there shouldn't be anything wrong.

Sticky play button

If you mean the push button got push down into the case then youll have to probably replace the case as these buttons are most of the time attached right to the outer housing and are not available by them selfs. if you wanna take a chance then open the unit and take out the pcb chassis and see if you can push back the s,mmall button but its something I would not recommend as there are lots of problems you can cause if you dont know the right procedture on disassembly.
