How about, 1. Outboard( both 2 and 4 cycle),
2. Inboard/outboard (also know as sterndrive) Gas or diesel, usually a marinized auto engine inside and a outdrive attached to the transom.
3. Inboard. Various engines, Gas or diesel depending on the size of the boat, connected to a transmission which is connected to a shaft which comes out the bottom of the boat and has a prop attached. Usual drive for large boats.
4. There are also variations on these types but they are new and/or limited use i.e.: gas turbine. There are new drive systems(pod drives) but are still a version of an inboard.

not enough information
to tow anything , there are regulated engine power requirements , braking capacity, electric break away brakes on the trailer, weight on the tow bar, boat width, boat length
All the requirement can be found at the vehicle registry office or main roads department

Where are the engine codes located on a 1970 Pacemaker 45' boat. Where are Boat Identification codes located on pre 1972 boats? Specifically this Pacemaker?

With a boat 44 years old, your boat engines may have been replaced or at minimum, overhauled. You might resubmit your question with some easy information you can add:

Gasoline or diesel engines?
Many were Crusader engines & you can usually see the name like this on the top portion of your engines.
You can see what color the valve covers are (blue, black, etc.).
You can see if they are V-8 engines if they have two long valve covers on top.
Most engines have a name plate on them (yours may be gone if original engines). Any mechanic you run into might find it quickly or recognize the engines.

Enjoy your boating. Pete

I know that there are 3 types of boat trailer rollers, but how do I know which type to use for my boat? My boat is fiberglass by the way.

Since your boat is fiberglass, you can use either rubber rollers or red soft poly rollers. Aluminum boats can use rubber rollers as well as blue hard poly rollers.

Replacing/rebuilding just one head won't do you a lot of good...
