1. my IR 6000 show E00061-0001 or E00061-0002 after it is fixed by a
technician. Actually it runs well for the first time, except it always
gave black spot at the left-bottom corner of A4 or letter-sized paper.
But if I set them to R position, it's OK. Then I asked them to be
repaired but now the error code above is appeared and I can't even use
the machine. What do you think about this?
2. my IR 5000i is turned off for itself and after I turn it on, it
shows E00002-0000 code. I try to turn it off and then turn it on again
but no effect however. What is this means?
1 needs a new potential control sensor and pcb. this needs to be installed by a certified tech, However it can be the laser that needs replaced. The procedure isnt fun, this is a difficult problem to resolve.
2. this just needs a new thermistor sensor for the fixing unit. that part shouldnt cost more than 15 bucks. If fixing unit is worn past its life it should be replaced.
e002 error is a fixing unit error. This is the fart in the middle that gets very hot.
The main board is not bad thats a little dum thing to say. The first thing to check is if the fixing rollers are dirty and worn out. This can happen anywhere between 500 to 1 million pages on the machine. Open the drawer and open the left side delivery assem as if you were removing a jam there. look at the rollers, if they are good your copier most likely needs a new main thermistor.
Have them install a main thermistor and reset the code. inspect fixing unit and give tell you when it has been rebuilt or how worn out it is. Canon suggest rebuilding them every 500k pages but some can get 1 million if they are used in a heavier manner, like at a big cherch that would use it a lot. Gee I wish I was getting paid something for this lol
Good luck!

Thanks for answering. My 1st problem is resolved. It happens to be the
technician I once hired was not careful when placing a conector back.
He broke it and that's the main cause. I called another, they replaced
it and it is solved. The black spot was because the lamp was misplaced.
After it was fixed, my machine is running fine now.
And about my 2nd problem, it sometimes shows me E00002-0000 code, and
sometimes it doesn't. At the screen, it was hung at the Canon logo
condition, and can't enter the main page display. They told me it was
probably because of the main PCB controller faulty. BTW, just curious,
could it be possible if it's because of software problem?
Thank you
