I agree with Albret. The laminated floor might give great look and feel in photographs or brochures but the touch and feel that real wooden floors give are unmatchable. I was in same dilemma but I was referred to a professional services for reclaimed wood floors by a friend. I received really good guidance by them. Does the bamboo flooring installation process differ from laminate flooring installations?

Bamboo flooring comes in three styles, solid, engineered, and click lock. The click lock and engineered are virtually designed just like laminate flooring, the only difference is the installation. Engineered has to be either nailed, stapled or glued down (depending on the subfloor, whether it is concrete or wood). The click lock is a floating floor and is installed the exact same as laminate flooring. Whether its on wood, or concrete it doesn't get nailed or glued at all.
