Question about Canon PIXMA iP1600 Printer
Just run the install disk. If you do not have the disk download the driver (and manual) from you CANON support web site below:
If you have Xp.Hook up the printer, turn it on. GO to
START- CONTROL PANEL - PRINTERS AND FAXS - ADD A PRINTER. When it asks if you have the disk sayno. Tell it where you have put the driver file,( I usually put mine straight on the hard drive c:) when asked.

With the original chip now
attached to the compatible cartridge (you may need double sided tape to
get the chip to stick well to the cartridge), and with the cartridge
now in the printer, Press and hold the Reset/OK Button for 5 seconds to
reset the chips.
