Please help me my optiquest q19wb model #vs11443 is shuting off aftre 1 second i opened it and no capacier were damadged what is wrong... the unit is not old 2 years i am not rich and want to save...

The usual problem with this symptom is an CCFL power supply failure. The inverter is the board that powers the backlights so you can see what is on the screen. If you look really close and with a flashlight, you may be able to see the dark shadow of the image on the screen. Without the backlight, the LCD is useless.

You can get parts from places like http://www.lcdalternatives.com/ or eBay. Search for the model number and "repair" (e.g. "Optiquest Q19wb repair") on eBay.

Modle VS11443 the monitor will only stay on for 30 seconds and then the screen goes off

Look for bad caps with domed tops as shown in my Optiquest Q19WB (VS11443) here: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/Optiquest%20Q19WB/

The built-in speakers no longer work. The icons register volume changes, but there is absolutely no sound at all.

You need to feed it with another sound source such as a MP3 player to see if it works, if it does, then you PC sound card/drivers/software/setup may be the problem. If it is the monitor, then it can be the power amplifier IC which is not worth repairing, you will be better off spending money on a good set of powered PC speakers instead that will give you much better sound than the monitor's speakers.

All of a sudden, no sound

First, we need to find out if the problem is in the monitor amplifier or in the PC sound card.
Try feeding the monitor with MP3 player first, if you do not get sound, then you need to open up the monitor and find out if the amplifier is getting the 12vdc feeding it. It will not be worth to have the monitor repaired by the shop because the amount of money for repair will be better off with new powered speakers system tahe will give so much better sound than the built-in speakers in your monitor.

Go into control panel / sounds / sounds and audio / select audio blind / should see a driver listed in each device. Back to sounds blind /test sound, if you can see the black arrow but its greyed out then driver is faulty. If you can click on it and it changes baxk to th esquare all is OK, ensure the sound jack is plugged into the GREEN ones at rear PC. Also check in volume blind that speakers are selected.

No sound

Is there a rca/headphone jack for the monitor? Make sure that the jack is plugged into the computer's audio out rca jack. A driver should not be needed for the audio on the monitor. If the jack is plugged in make sure that the audio is not muted on the computer. Right click on the speaker icon in the right bottom of the screen on the windows tray nand open the sound mixer. Make sure all the sounds are on. Then check the monitor settings and make sure the sound is on and not muted thru the monitor buttons. If the cable is good and all these things are ok then the internal sound amp in the monitor might be bad.

Cannot raise the volume

Speakers built in to monitors are notorious for being quiet. But, check the sound in control panel and see if it knows you r useing that type of speakers. And of course check monitor itself for a manual volume control.

Speakers

you need to ensure that the speaker lne cable is connected, this should be a double ended 3.5 jack plug cable, one end plugs into the back of the monitor, the other goes into your speaker port on the motherboard of your computer, sometimes there is a power cable required too
