SOURCE: air conditioner

I managed to find the people who supplied the unit, it was still under warranty, and they said it was the thermistors (temprature probes, they replaced both of them) It is now working perfectly!

Ac exhaust fan

Yes for dehumidifier, no for heat mode. In dehumidifier mode all the unit does is takes air in, runs it through the evaporator (cold) coil and the back through the condenser (warm) coil discharging dry, slightly warmer air back into the room. In heating mode however if you don't vent the exhaust there will be no heat produced. Warm air will come out the top but cold air will also come out the exhaust (essentially, in heating mode all it does is operates as an air conditioner in reverse. Hope this helps.

My Sharp CV10NH, turns off and water full about every 30min...is there a solution to this problem?

If you are operating in a humid environment and are running in Dehumidifier mode, you might be filling your tank very quickly. Run it in Cool mode and you might last longer than 30 mins. Also, if you can isolate the room you are cooling from other parts of the house, that will help.

How does the heater part of the CPN12XH9-E work? Does the hoses need to be in window still?

Yes, hose needs to connect to outdoors, since it operates as a heat pump. You'll notice cold air blowing out the exhaust when in heating mode, and hot air blowing out the exhaust in cooling mode - unit exhausts opposite of temperature you want.

I have Goodman combination heating and cooling outdoor unit PBB series. I am wanting to know if when the heat is on should the fan outside turn or is that only ac

If it's a heatpump, then yes the outdoor fan will turn unless the unit is going in defrost mode. But for the majority of the time a heat pump is operating in heat mode, the outdoor fan is running.
